I would like to talk about the availability of sandeels to fishermen and fisherwomen at short notice.

Last summer I went to Torquay I England with my father for a hoilday.

As usual I decided to take some fishing tackle seeing as Torquay is a seaside resort, but I didnt take any bait hoping that some could be bought when we got to out destination.

Torquay has got a nice sized harbour as some people will know. We walked around the harbour and I decided that I was going to have a go at fishing off the harbour for some sea fish. Fortunately there was a local fishing tackle shop within 5 minutes walk from the harbour so I decided to go and take a look in there.

Inside the tackle shop I was advised that float fishing was a good method for fishing the habour at Torquay. I then decided to purchase some rigs and line and stuff that I might need to go out fishing on the harbour seeing as I had only brought down some tackle and not all the things that I would need to fish the harbour.

I then asked the man at the tackle shop if they sold bait. He said that they did and he advised me that sandeels were a good bait for float fishing off the harbour. He showed me a pack of frozen sandeels that contained around 6-8 sandeels. It was a plastic blast frozen pack and he said that one pack would be enough for one 4 hour session. I decided that I would take one pack of sandeels and I payed him. I payed around £1.75 for one pack of frozen sandeels that contained around 7-9 full sandeels.

I believe that you can purchase packs of sandeels in most tackle shops around Britain and I expect other countrys would sell them too.

I believe that the frozen packs of sandeels that you can buy in shops are a really good idea whether you are going boat or shore fishing.

If you are a fisherman or fisherwoman and you go sea fishing I would suggest that you always take a pack of frozen sandeels with you on every trip.
