Advantages: sturdy and solid, great looking, good to ride and very useful Disadvantages: doesn't quite fold up as small as a Brompton
...the Brompton on the underground in rush hour with no real problems. The P8 folds well, but its it not nearly as compact, or as stable as the Brompton in its folded form, The P8 is strongly reliant on the seat post to maintain one of its 3 points of ground contact, and I have found this to be a tiny bit unstable when free standing on a train. The Brompton was a dream to throw into a space in the luggage rack, or between seats, with the P8, its usually best if you can get to the luggage space first, other peoples luggage fits better round it. It also doesn't slide under the baggage holder rack as smoothly, which is a pain if people are pushing behind you to get on.
However, the P8 can take a knock, sometimes, for whatever reason people walk in the cycle path, and you might be tempted to take the bike onto the road down the kerb, on the Brompton...

Advantages: you dont need to know much to be able to sail a topper all you realey need to know is how to put the mast in and put the boom (wich is the horizontal pole) they are very boyant and made from a strong fibre glass hull the boat its self goes quite fast Disadvantages: they can capsize if not handeld properly
...I have been on sailing lessons and the boat I was taught on was a topper. After I compleated the course I went to the loch wich rented them out from then on I go at least every second week in all types of weather so I wish dad would finally get me a topper. they can be stored on a roof rack on your car and the often home with a small folding trailer. The rudder can be removed for stowage or travell the centre board raised/lowerd to diffrent hights, they are also light weight they also come in a wide range of colours ,you can upgrade them so they can be rowed when the wind drops but say you are going in an your topper and you run aground or crash into something wich cracks or punctures the hull or ruptures any I have been on sailing lessons and the boat I was taught on was a topper. After I completed the course I went to the loch which...

Advantages: Loads of machines. Disadvantages: Can be full of kids in school hols.
...Last year, The Boyf came home and announced he wanted to get fit. After checking out 3 local gyms, he settled upon David Lloyds - lovingly called "Dirty's" by it's longstanding regulars - as they offered the best joining rate (£49) and off-peak monthly fee (£45) and the sales staff weren't at all pushy like at other places he went to.
Trundle along to February 2005. We're dressed up ready to go out and The Boyf looks at me and tells me that I should go to the gym as I have grown a double chin. After he'd got back up off the floor and taken some pain killers, I realised he was right.
Anyway, at 8pm one Friday in March, we drove down to D.L's and after going through the various options with the person behind the desk, decided to add-on my details so we were now Couple membership on the Peak Time option 'Health & Fitness' status...

Given the glut of reviews on ‘The Lovely Bones’, it seems that this is a very popular novel. Indeed, this book is one of the biggest selling books of the past twenty years on both sides of the Atlantic. It has made Alice Sebold into one of the most... more

It is often seen as the easy way out for a band to release a live album. After all they are meant to be playing live anyway so recording it and releasing it is almost viewed as cheating. I personally don’t subscribe to this theory and I quite like live... more

This is yet another of the books for which I have found a home on my bookcases this week and quite deservingly so, Reichs is an author whos books are highly regarded due to the authenticity of the detail, like Tess Gerritsen she has a strong lead... more
