...These conti tye are simply amazing . first of all they are so easy to fit with minimal effort any one can fit them, these tyres perform really well in both dry and wet conditions I have never had a slide on them yet, I have always used conti tyres ever since I can remember The tread pattern is not the smae as any other tyre available it is cut with water groves to help with water dissapation which also helps keep the tyre warm when you are motoring along the roads at high speeds. I recommend that you blow the tyres up to around 40 psi that is the pressure I have found them to work at there best. I regularly do rides of 20 miles plus with no problem and the tyres just have'nt worn at all a great buy although quiet expensive.... Read review

...I live and ride in South Wales. The man made trais around Afan Argoed and Glyncorrwg, plus all the natural stuff in between, is where you'll most likely find me on my bike. It's wet down here in Wales, but thankfully, there's not much clay, so that really sticky mud you get in some parts of the country isn't too much of a problem down here. I'd experimented with many different types of tyre, before stumbling across these. I'd been riding Tioga 1.9's and going to the Panaracer 2.1's was a breath of fresh air. The increased grip, especially on the front, was amazing, and the rear tyre gripped like a mountain goat. Just make sure you put them on the right way around (follow the arrows on the side wall). As a tyre that can be used all year round, these are hard to beat. They grip well on the rocky bits, dig in on muddy climbs, and cope... Read review

.../Force combination, but these won - primarily on price - but also I don't think I really need the super-high performance of those all-out race tyres, at the cost of a reduced puncture protection... The GP4000 has a patented "Vectran" anti-puncture layer to prevent punctures - certainly none this morning ! It supposedly has more cut resistance than aramid, and is five times as strong as steel ! Vectran fibers are used by NASA for space mission airbags and tow ropes, so should stop those little glass slivers, pins & flints that can ruin a morning's ride ! The GP4000 is available in 650x23 size (ERTRO 23-571) in black only (for you time trialists), 700x23 (ERTRO 23-622) in Black, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Metallic Blue, Blue, Conti yellow, Red(my choice) & Lemon yellow, plus a slightly wider 700x25 (ERTRO 25-622) in Black, Black Reflective, Blue, Red & Lemon...
