SheDives in the Tropical pool?
Advantages: warm enough, comfy Disadvantages: the colour scheme isnt to my taste
...with were limited to the Mares range or Cressi, but after trying on several other suits at other shops I settled on the Mares SheDives Tropic, shorty. The She Dives range is a set of diving equipment desgined to fit those of us with a afew more curvy bits than the average bloke, and currently is all sold in black and baby blue (I dont understand that colour choice but never mind) which looks good but as to its look after heavy usage I wouldnt like ... ...arms and legs have what Mares call the Metal Skin Seal, which is a silver/grey coloured smooth seal which creates the restriction on the water flushing through the suit. The zip is on the back with a nice long 'tag' to allow you to zip and unzip it yourself, the neck closure is velcro and can be done up as tight as you want it to be due to the collar section being covered in a soft material the velcro can grip.
In the water I generally dont notice ...

Oceanic Cyberskin Wetsuit
Advantages: Lightweight and flexible Disadvantages: None
As I feel the cold quite often when I'm diving I decided to invest in a cyberskin as I had read good reports about it in various dive magazines. I wasn't keen on buying a semi-dry to take abroad with me as I feel they can be cumbersome. I usually wear a 5mm Gul Steamer but felt I needed some extra insulation. The cyberskin is 0.5mm thick and extremely light. The material is silky and flexible and feels extremely comfortable. It comes in women's and ... ...Although it is only 0.5mm thick it is equal in warmth to a 2mm wetsuit and can be used alone for diving in warmer waters. I bought an all in one with a back zipper but it is possible to purchase it as a separate top and bottoms. I had thought that it might be difficult to get my 5mm wetsuit over the top of it but in actual fact it made it easier to get on.
As it is so light it is easy to pack and doesn't take up much room in my luggage. It has really ...

Sexy Silverskin
Advantages: Good Cuffs Disadvantages: None
Sliver on the Inside!!
I bought a Silverskin a couple of years ago and never looked back since. I managed to negoctiate a price of £200 from a local dive shop. The cuffs are great because you can fold them and fold them to get a good seal. Ankle cuffs are great for the same reason as is the neck.
The suit also drains very well from tthese cuffs, especially the Neck Cuff
There is a good horizontal zip on the back which makes it easy for self dis-robing ... ...recommend attaching a small pull cord to ease this process.
The Zip is very sturdy so if you do have a problem undoing it, pull it back to the beginning and start again.
Padded shoulders, elbows and knees are an added bonus as damage to previous wet-suits has been quite costly.
My suit is maunfactured from 90% Neoprene and 10% Nylon, therefore very warm. Suitable for UK and European Diving during most of the year.
Just open you Zip and show the ...

Keeps you warm
Advantages: you have warmth Disadvantages: easy to grow out of, same price as a secondhand drysuit
I bought my suit at the dive show in London a year or so back. Tried it on, the ankle and wrist zips made it easier trying to fit in however they could have been longer zips. But they were nice sturdy metal designed to take abuse from the British diver.
7mm thick on each piece of the suit
Ankle/wrists zips
Knee pads
Simple design
Easy to use
This is a two piece suit which is cleverly designed; to begin with there is a whole body suit as one ... ...you can take off the waistcoat if you are in warmer waters (20 degrees or so).there is a central zip running up the front therefore making it easy to dress yourself with out asking your buddy to help. The waistcoat features a diagonal zip; this can some times be hard to do up especially round the base of the waist coat. But on saying that it does give you a really good fit. Finally there is the hood, it comes with the suit, and the hood has a nice ...

Snug As A Bug In A Rug
Advantages: Full protection for your body.Outstanding value for money Disadvantages: Only suitable really for warm water diving
MARES Tropic 3MM Wetsuit.
I am a warm water diver and decided it was about time I invested in a full wetsuit. Being female although a fairly normal 12-14 size in clothing but obviously having curves decided to follow one of the things I learnt in my PADI Open Water course and that comfort and fit were highly important so decided I should "try before I buy" so decided buying on the internet was not an option.
Where Purchased From And Cost.
I bought ... ...end I reluctantly tried the Mares Tropic (as it was only 3mm) and it went on so much easier than all the others I had tried and it fitted really well.
This is a 3mm blind stitched wetsuit. It's very stylish and doesn't take up too much room in your suitcase. Features
The glued and blindstitched seam construction, which ensures that less water gets through the seams which helps keep you warm.
