Advantages: inspiring true story of courage, dedication and freedom Disadvantages: some violence
OVERVIEW OF THE MOVIE
I started browsing for any titles about writing recently. I even visit my local video store looking for titles related to writers, writings or similar subject until I came across with this movie, Freedom Writers. I was hooked by the title and a bit intrigue with what this movie all about. To satisfy my curiosity, I immediately grab a copy. Applying new tips learned about writing a movie review, I did watch the movie couple of times first before actually started my review draft. Jotting down my observation, taglines and reaction while watching the movie is not my usual habit but for the sake of getting a clearer picture of the details, I did it as suggested.

Advantages: Trying a new direction into dance/R'n'B Disadvantages: 2 or 3 tracks aren't up to scratch with the rest of the album
Freedom is akon's third album, which certainly has a different twist to it compared to his last two previous attempts. To me his last two albums were more r'n'b/hip hop/rap. This new album sounds more commercial with a r'n'b/pop/dance feel to it. The album contains all 14 tracks which can be listened to over & over again as they are so catchy:
1)Right Now (Na Na Na) - The lead track from the album which has stormed the charts all over the world. With its catchy chorus and holiday vibe this is a brilliant way to start the album.
2)Beautiful - The first collaboration on the album with the help of Colby'O'Donis & Kardinall Offishall. Yet again a simple catchy chorus with the help of a great dance beat. To me the tune sounds like Alice Deejays hit 'Better off Alone'
3)Keep You Much Longer - A nice summery song, great lyrics ...

The Mask is a comedy made in 1994 and was part of the trifecta (the others being "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and "Dumb & Dumber") that propelled Jim Carrey from unknown to superstar. It also made a star of another unknown actor, this time being Cameron Diaz.
Jim Carrey plays Stanley Ipkiss, a bank clerk and a really nice guy. But, he is a bit of a pushover and never really stand up for himself. After a particularly bad day, he stumbles upon a mask, that he finds out depicts Loki, the Norse god of mischief. When he puts on the mask, he turns into a green faced, wacky, snappy dresser! He's confident, romantic and not afraid to fight for what he believes in, so you could say he just brought out what Stanley is really like inside himself. So, together with his dog, Milo, they go out and paint Edge City red! Well, green really.
