I visited Australia as my brother lives over there a few years ago and he was lucky enough to book me a place to go scuba diving.

I have always had such a desire to go and see the Coral Reef and all the life forms that you can't even imagine unless you have seen pictures in magazings.

You couldn't believe my excitement when I was actually told that I was able to do this!

I do not own this camera but was given the loan of it for my adventures to the bottom of the sea. As all of you will most likely know, you can't just take an ordinary camera on a journey like the one I was about to experience and with some of the cheap cameras around, you cannot always guarantee quality pictures.

The features of this camera included:
Built-in 35mm amphibious lens
Unique built-in close-up lens that focuses down to 18 inches
Automatic film load, advance and power-driven rewind
Automatic DX indexing for ISO 50, 100 and 400 speed films
Dedicates for TTL flash photography at speeds of 1/15, 1/30, 1/60 and 1/125 second
In-viewfinder LED
Exterior bayonet mount permits users to attach or detach auxiliary lenses underwater

The camera itself is much larger than some of the things you can find today. When you are under the water, it doesn't feel any weight at all unlike holding it over the water. The weight of it is also added by the strobe which is an extra which is really needed to light up your intended target.

The whole camera comes in a very big case to protect it when you are travelling. It has foam which prevents it getting crushed or overheating, moisture etc. while it is in there.

There is a Deulux version of this camera available but I am not so much technically minded and had no idea what all the extra parts were for!

The camera of course does not only have to be used under water but can be used on land. It has an internal flash so you don't have to have the strobe connected all the time. There is also a focus knob so you will have no trouble capturing the ideal picture whether it is a metre away or .... well I really have no idea how far it will go!

I found the camera very easy to use even though I had a mask on. The viewfinder is quite large so you have no problems finding what you are looking for.

The quality of the pictures were fabulous. I really wish I had them to show to you and you will wish you had been there as well. The colours were so bright on the fish and the clear blue sea waters made taking a picture much easier. I did catch a glimpse of a dolphin or two but I didn't have the camera at that point!

I would highly recommend this one if you are needing it when Scuba Diving.

I really have no idea how mcuh the camera would have cost the person I borrowed it from and I have tried to search for a price but have found it is no longer available. If you are still interested in it, there are diving forums and boards you can advertise for one but the accessories for it are still available. These range from about £5 - £180. I'm not quite sure how much a compatiable strobe would cost though.

I hope you enjoyed reading my review!

You might want to try and find some more points to be critical about (if there are any). e.g Were the buttons/controls all easy to use even underwater?
