(Introduction)
The first thing one notices with the 6500s is that it is a sliding phones, and with any sliding phone the most important thing to consider is the build quality. I am glad to report that after nearly a year's use the slider mechanism still works well and does not rock side to side at all.
Being a Series 40 phone we should not expect any lag in performance - and the 6500s is indeed up to speed with loading times and switching on and off times.
The 6500s runs on Series 40 3rd edition and supports a reduced version of active standby. It displays the user's memo, events etc on the screen together with the music player and radio (when switched on).
The design of the phone is the selling point of this phone. It is covered in stainless steel front and back - except for the top ...
Advantages: Top of the range "bling" rear mech Disadvantages: 9 speed "only", superceeded by RD-7800 10-speed version
I bought this rear derailleur to replace an Ultegra mech when upgrading my bike from 8 to 9-speeds (well, 16 to 18 speed really with my double front chainset). Apparently, this mech is also compatible with 8-speed systems, you just need to change the cable mounting position.

For the non-bike-ophiles among you, the rear mech (or mechanism) is the device at the back end of the bike that moves the chain across the muliple cogs (cassette) on the back wheel to change gear - bigger cog ...

NOKIA
Nokia is a multinational telecommunications company. The business was born in Finland in the 1960's and is now a worldwide manufacturer of mobile phones. Most people remember the old classic Nokia 3210, quite heavy with its redeeming feature being snake. Since then Nokia has come a long way and I've had several Nokia phones in my time: the good old 3210, a 6210 which was originally intended for business and had a huge memory, a cute 6233 with a 2megapixel camera along with many other features, and finally a 6500 slide.
WHY/HOW I GOT IT
A couple of years ago a company called 'future phones' called me and I set up a contract with them for a 6233 on the 3 network. I previously had an LG 3 phone, which I loved, but it had broken and it was time for another. When my contract with the 6233 was about to end I was contacted again ...
