Shimano HG70 7 Speed Cassette Features: High quality 7-speed cassette Hyperglide sprockets have a computer designed tooth configuration with contoured shift gates, resulting in a crisp smooth shift even under load Close ratio gearing allows a more efficient use of energy through finer cadence control Sprockets are cut away to reduce weight without reducing rigidity Pearl-bright finish offers hard wearing resistance to corrosion Pearl-bright steel cassette lockring For Narrow 7-speed HG chains
Advantages: Top of the range "bling" rear mech Disadvantages: 9 speed "only", superceeded by RD-7800 10-speed version
..., the Shimano instructions are very simple to follow, although as with all jobs of this type a basic knowledge of bicycle maintenace is required.
It's a beautifully made item, with lots of cold-forged, anodized aluminum giving the mech a "jewellery" look (in my opinion, better looking than the new 10-speed version) and has so far always shifted faultlessly with 105 STI levers.
Mine is the "SS" version, with the short cage, although a longer cage version is (was?) also available to work with wider range rear cassette sprockets, or a triple/compact chainset - this "GS" version has a total capacity of 38 teeth. Clearly, this will be a little heavier than this version...

Advantages: Excellent bike with well Specified Equipment Disadvantages: No fun riding in the rain.
...If you are considering purchasing a new bike and are
not sure which to choose I can recommend the C.B. Urban 300.It is a cross between a road bike and a mountain bike.
Having an aluminium frame it is light and easy to ride
(Make sure you get the correct size frame)
The Shimano gears I have found to be excellent, the
brakes are very good to.
I chose this particular model over the Urban 100 & 200
due to the better specification of parts and the front
suspension which enhances both comfort on road and offroad.
It is ideal for treking on trails or country pathways.
