Advantages: Comfortable, Supportive, Great looks, Bargain price, Good Grips Disadvantages: Cold in winter, Not waterproof, Shimano sizing system
I recently purchased a pair of Shimano M072 shoes for use with a pair of Shimano M520 SPD pedals. I managed to pick up the shoes for around £20.00 new which for that price I would say is a total bargain!! The Shimano M072 SPD shoes have Mountain Bike style recessed cleats which make the shoes a lot easier to walk around in than the road style cleats, and pretty good rubber grips on the bottom which stop you sliding around in mud.
I am actually using the shoes with my road bike at the moment but would recommend them for both road and mountain bike users! There are a couple of points I have picked up on though which would be worth noting.
Shimano have a quite a strange sizing system. I am a size 8 normally which in European sizes is a 42. The Shimanoshoes are sized using European sizes, however it is worth buying the size above what ...
Advantages: Strong, well made, functional Disadvantages: Nothing yet.

Rotating your feet to the side then releases you from the pedal. (not as dangerous as it sounds).
GENERAL
Shimano mountain bike shoes have been around for a number of years now and in my opinion if you are a user of SPD pedals then you can't beat Shimano PSD shoes for reliability. I have used number if different types over the years, most of which I cant remember the name off and ones that usually found the bucket because they ...

There wasn't a category for Triathlon as such, so hopefully here will do.
Triathlon isn't one of the most popular sports in exsitence, but it is becoming more and more popular and is a well established Olympic Sport. Triathlon, as the name suggests, consists of three sports which are swimming, cycling and running. Each racer must compete each discipline whilst trying to be faster than their competitors.
The first leg of the triathlon consists of a 1500m swim. Now that might not seem like a long distance when you consider how far people run in races, but I can imagine having to swim that far would be pretty difficult!! The swim normally takes place in a natural river, which adds to the difficulty. Luckily the competitors wear wetsuits so they aren't going to freeze to death!! It takes the runners around 20 minutes to do the swim ...
