Previously, I had a pair Of Ritchey WCS Ti spd pedals (i paid £60 on ebay, but the retail at £140!!). These were next to useless - the bearings failed within 12 months. They looked good and weighed not a lot, but didn't work very well, at all :O(
I begrudgingly purchased the XTR spd's for £56.99 from wiggle, as I didn't want to go the "shimano" route again. First impressions of quality were superb, especially for under £60!!! The smoothness of the bearings is silk like. fitting is just like any other pedal. Adjusting the tension springs was also the same as any other spd, although I didn't have to do them as tight as previoud spd's I'd owned. Clicking in and out of the pedal gave a satisfying quality click. In riding i've done so far, they perhaps clogged more than i'd have liked, but the riding was very very extreme.

Advantages: Dam fine der' son, Disadvantages: Dam fine der' son, can I av a go Mr !! (x200)
ooooh Baby OR oooow Baby, precisely the derailleur of your dreams and I don?t think there?s many that would argue this. But what are its benefits and what if any are its draw backs??.
Because I like confrontation especially when it surrounds mountain bikes I?ll start with negatives. It?s a magnet for Crime, even the slackest bike thief knows that XTR means Money, he may not know that it?s the only bit on the bike worth nicking but you can be dam sure he?ll take the whole lot rather than undo, and you and I both know what a bummer it is to get a derailleur off when you?ve ridden it for ages.
Ok number 1 over is that it your saying! I can cope, I?d never leave my precious bike un-attended. Well, lets see can you afford to repair it after a smash worse still buy a new one !!!!, remember its top of the range don?t buy it and replace it ...

He investigates the crash and discovers a spaceship, but his problems are only just beginning. Nobody believes him until people start disappearing and just as oddly reappear, acting oddly, (well it was filmed in 1953).
The sheriff, in his stereotypical way, heads down the mine armed to the teeth ready to start a fight. John has to step in ...
