Advantages: Secure and Comfy Disadvantages: Bulky and Expensive
...These slazenger batting gloves have all the technology here to keep those precious fingers protected. They have the new HexTech Impact protection panels (although I think these might be more of a marketing aspect than actually do anything, but they look good though!). Fibre inserts into the padding, as well as Slazenger's Air Flow system which helps to maintain that all important secure grip. A very comfy glove with sheep skin palms, as well as a two piece thumb for increased flexibility. Overall a very secure and comfortable glove, but it comes at a price selling at around £50 in the shops. Worth buying if your a serious cricketer, but to bulky and expensive for your local village team....

Advantages: Well protected and comfy Disadvantages: Too big velcra and Expensive
...The Ultimate Glove. More technology here than in an aircraft, there well protected, comfy and look good! I've had a pair for a year now and have fallen in love with them. Although I've only been hit there a few times it hurts distinctively less than any of my previous gloves. Quad Flex, HexTech impact absorption, fibre inserts, Slazenger's airflow system, are the official names for all the protection bits. The palms also absorb your sweat so cuts out the need for inner gloves. They are very durable (mine are still in good condition after a year playing a few times a week!). However one note of caution, the Velcro is slightly too big for the strap, so if you like to wear a woolly jumper when batting it often attaches itself and can get very annoying. They are also one of the more expensive gloves at around £60. Overall they are defiantly...

Advantages: Two double width straps Disadvantages: No instep protection
...not balloon away, which could prove useful if you have close fielder in for the bat/pad catch. The pads are a standard 7 cane arrangement and the hextech side wing allows you additional protection on the leading side of your leg, although for a club bag the Super Test Range might be a good buy, as it has wings on both sides, making it an ambidextrous pad in theory, although when worn left handed, the straps may rub against each other. The only thing that they lack is extra instep protection, but this is not available on any pads of this pricerange.
Overall this is a good sturdy pad for the average club player, which should get a lot of wear and willsee you good for a few seasons, although I am looking forward to the shipment of my Newbery pads....
