Advantages: Two double width straps Disadvantages: No instep protection
The Slazenger Select Test pads are a good alternative for anybody looking for a fairly inexpensive pair of batting pads with the general comfort of a quality pair of batting pads but without the price tag. These pads usually retail around the £39.99 mark, but many wholesalers such as Morrant, Romida or Bourne are likely to have them for closer to £30.
I used a set of these, which I had borrowed off a friend, for the indoor season (I play a lot of indoor cricket in Austria) and was very impressed with them. Pads have improved immeasurably, in the 15 years that I have been playing cricket, with buckles being replaced by Velcro fastenings, which can allow you to get the tightness of the pads more accurately. As regards the straps of these pads, they were great, with the bottom (ankle) and the middle (shin) straps being both 2 inches wide ...
Advantages: Smooth, accurate tracking Disadvantages: A bit too big, a bit too expensive
When optical mice hit the scene they were touted to be capable of tracking on almost any surface, in much the same way that a CD smeared with jam would still play. Users soon came to realise that whilst optical mice were a massive step forward, if you wanted accurate movement the mouse surface was still very important.

What you get with the ProPad is an anodized aluminium base, topped off with a very smooth white surface on both sides. The coating is non-slip, which basically means that if it ultra-smooth, whilst still offering the correct amount of resistance. Each side of the pad is slightly different, one ...
Advantages: Nice power to weight ratio Disadvantages: Grip can feel a little loose
Just bought this bat ready for the new summer season and I must say I?m very impressed.
Weight wise it?s nice and light, although a tad heavier towards the toe, obviously for power purposes although the heavier end allows for a nice heavy swing with less effort in the elbows and wrists.
If the bat is 100% with 0% being by the handle and 100% being the toe. The sweetest spot is at about 80%, although the bat is actually quite thin the sweet spot covers the entire face area around the sweet spot. I think this is because of the flatness of the bat this far down. As most cricket bats have a curve like a road where it?s higher in the middle and curves off towards the edges. Although at the sweet spot it seems to be flatter than anywhere else on the bat.
Grip is very good; the grip provided with the bat is strong enough, although there ...
