Advantages: Secure and Comfy Disadvantages: Bulky and Expensive
...These slazenger batting gloves have all the technology here to keep those precious fingers protected. They have the new Hex Tech Impact protection panels (although I think these might be more of a marketing aspect than actually do anything, but they look good though!). Fibre inserts into the padding, as well as Slazenger's Air Flow system which helps to maintain that all important secure grip. A very comfy glove with sheep skin palms, as well as a two piece thumb for increased flexibility. Overall a very secure and comfortable glove, but it comes at a price selling at around £50 in the shops. Worth buying if your a serious cricketer, but to bulky and expensive for your local village team....

Advantages: top of the range bat, long lasting, great price. Disadvantages: None really just that it will need to be knocked in although there is are many knocking in places that will do it for a small price.
...This bat i a certian to make any cricketer feel good as they bat, great pick up, really sweet middle and the ball flies off it with hardly any effort. With my experience the bat has progressed my ablilty too far to explain, it's helped me in many ways not to say i've been scouted by Essex. So if you are planing on getting a new bat then look no further. This bat will help your cricket in every possible way. If the Slazenger isn't your first choice as a bat then don't worry as from my past experience it doesn't matter because when this bat is used by YOU then you will feel like a much better batsman and as the case of this you will feel like a proper pro.
Good luck...

...a brand of cheap tennis ball that you are happy with then it's probably the best bet, especially if you're the type of person who loses a lot of them!! Cheap balls should cost around £1.
For the more serious player it is probably best to buy a more expensive tin of balls (usually 3-4 in a tin) from a well known brand name. Slazenger seem to be good in my experience. These can cost a lot more (£2-£3 per ball) depending on the exact make and model but at least you know they are the right weight, pressure etc!
Shock Absorbers
---------------
These are by no means a necessity and whether or not you use them depends upon your personal preference. Some people find their racket vibrates a lot when they hit the ball, and I have to admit that after a few hours at tennis your wrist can begin to hurt. These shock absorbers are designed to take...
