We took our 10 month old son camping in the UK for the first time a couple of years ago in August, and again the following summer, and we used this baby sleeping bag. I bought this as i needed a warm winter sleeping bag for some out of car camping and it is ideal. It is basically a duvet with a nylon outercoating. I am a very warm person and can often use the extreame guidence as my comfort zone regarding the temperature. It is very comfortable inside, you cannot feel any seams or the zip, the hood fits nicely over you head without blocking your face and generally has a lot of room inside (im 6'1 and 16 stone). I've had this bag for about 5 years now and it has really withstanded the wear and tear it has come under: More than 25 weekends sleeping on bare ground, a month long expedition in south america and several bunkhouse trips. In that 5 years it has kept me remarkably warm. Ideal for camping with small children - the bottom zips off and a circular piece zips on to create a proper \'foot\' for small children and as they grow you can zip the bottom section back on.
