The Slendertone flex is the latest in slendertone's range of faradic exercisers. The one I have is for the abdominals although they also now have a flex for the bum and thighs which you wear like a pair of shorts.
The tummy one is great. I have had 5 children and a bad back so the usual round of sit ups and crunches are no longer feasible for me. I have previously had the earlier ones with pads and trailing wires, but frankly they are a pain in the neck (should that be stomach!) to set up.Initially I was put off buying this product by the cost. Mine was £145 although I think they vary a bit. However, I watched a really good demo on QVC and that convinced me to spend the money!

The new version is a wide neoprene belt with the contacts concealed. There are three sticky pads, one goes over your tummy button and one to either side between your hips and ribs. It is easy to place the pads in the correct position. The controls are on the belt with an LED display. There are 4 programmes and a large range of strengths so you can tell how much progress you have made. There is also an information button which helps you track your progress, how many times you have used the product, how strongly you have previously set the contractions etc. For those of you who haven't used something like this it works by stimulating your muscles by means of an electrical impulse. The muscles then contract and release- like they would if you were crunching away at the gym!It is a strange feeling, but not un-pleasant and you soon get used to it.

This model is beautifully discreet.It uses AAA batteries and I have been pleasantly surprised at how long they last.There are no wites getting in the way and you don't need to strip off to use it like some of the others!You only need to pull your trousers /skirt down a bit to hook yourself up and then put it over the top. It is great, you can sit and relax whilst it does it stuff, or carry on with housework or written work. I like to use it while I am ironing.
It comes in a discreet soft black bag which you can slip in your bag and take to work. I am a teacher and sometimes use mine during break!
I highly recommend this product. It has made a difference to me and 5 children do not do your tummy muscles any favours!!!! You have nothing to lose but that flab.
