Advantages: Beautiful places to visit Disadvantages: None
High Force and also Low Force Waterfalls are places I have visited many times over the years.
Situated in Middleton-in-Teesdale, not far from both Raby or Barnard Castle, the waterfalls are a great place to visit for a day out, or as part of a drive through the stunning countryside in the area.
High Force is without a doubt one of the most impressive waterfalls in England. The River Tees has been plunging into this gorge for thousands of years, but the rocks it reveals are even older, and date back over 300 million years!
You will find High Force located along the B6277, 4 miles from Middleton-in -Teesdale. It is well signposted, just follow the brown tourist signs.
You will come to a car park where you will be charged £2.00 to park your car. You then take the woodland walk, which will take you to the waterfall.

*Film only review*
I very rarely have the opportunity or desire to watch new films and G-Force probably wouldn't have been at the top of my list of films to watch. My oldest son had set his heart on a visit to the cinema with three of his friends, for his seventh birthday, and this was the film of his choice.
G-Force is an action-packed Disney production which combines live (human) action with the antics of three animated highly-trained talking guinea-pigs (not to mention a fly and a mole!) The animals are part of a government-funded project to use these animals to undertake secret agent activities but, when funding is cut, they end up in a local pet shop. Will they escape and, more importantly, will they save the world from the activities of the obligatory 'bad guy'? You'll just have to watch and find out!
I wasn't expecting ...

*A review of Rising Force by Yngwie J. Malmsteen, which was intended as a quick review but I was forced to post as standard?*
'Rising Force', is seen as being responsible for the rise of Neo-Classical Metal; in Yngwie J. Malmsteen's debut solo album, he shows super speed and skill in his guitar playing, and with the distinctive Strat tone comes his wide violin-like vibrato. But it?s not entirely electric ? the album is enriched by acoustic guitars which ?Rising Force? begins and ends on.
Edited highlights:
1. Black Star ? the opener is my favourite track off the album, I love the neighing guitar licks which kick in after the acoustic-into-electric buildup.
2. Far Beyond The Sun - the guitar and keyboard solo interchanges.
5. Icarus' Dream Suite Op. 4 - the medievil acoustic figure for the final section.
6. As Above, So Below ...
