...I've had this bag for about 5 years now and it has really withstanded the wear and tear it has come under: More than 25 weekends sleeping on bare ground, a month long expedition in south america and several bunkhouse trips. In that 5 years it has kept me remarkably warm. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone planning to sleep in temperatures around 0 degrees (C) as unlike the manufactures rating of extreme -5 i would say it is more like 0. It has also prooven to be very useful in warmer conditions, such as indoors, where the full length zip can easily be undone and the fact that there are 2 zippers on one zip means you can easily get some air to your feet whilst keeping your shoulders warm. The drawstring is another good feature as on those colder nights it ensures your shoulders remain covered. However the best aspect of theis bag is its...

...are normally only found in down bags.
Ive only used this bag a few times, in the scotish highlands and in the north of wales whilst climbing in winter. Although i did sacrafice precious space and weight by opting for this bag, it did provide superb comfort and heat which was a well earned luxury after a hard day climbing.
This bag was pretty cheap considering the product in hand. It was £90 from my local 'Outdoors' camping shop, and considering it gives better properties than some £200 downbags, i take it as quite a bargin.
My bag came in some strange green colour which i think looks pretty ok compared to some sleepingbag colours. It came with an excellent compression sack which reduces the size of the bag by about 1/3 (shame it doesnt do the same for the weight.)
At around 2.5 kg it is slightly heavy for a sleepingbag, considering my...

...My husband is a little like The Princess in the story the Princess and the pea.
You know the one where to tell if the Princess is really a Princess the Prince puts a pea under the mattress on her bed, she can still feel it when her bed is piled high of mattresses.
My husband cannot sleep on lumps and bumps, a tiny stone or a twig under his sleepingbag when we go camping causes a sleepless night. (Whereas I can sleep any where on anything)
To cure this many years ago we bought sleeping mats, strips of waterproof foam we do own several my husband and I both have a green one each they are quite wide fill up our 2-man tent.
We also have a narrower grey one that he does not like using. It is too narrow creates an edge, which can be felt.
We bought our green ones for about 5 pounds years ago I believe they are about 10 pounds now...

Julie Highmore has been relatively unknown to me until recently when I read the most enjoyable book called Pure Fiction. With this in mind I set off to the H section in the local library and was delighted to find this one snuggling on more
