I have owned this mountain bike for several months now and apart from one of the covers falling of the front gear shifter ( easy to replace but it flew into a large hedge! ) it has been a pleasure to own.
The discs are very good for cable operated ones and the bike is well constructed and feels very robust but not unduly heavy.
It feels good over cross country but being a hardtail I would not recommend for serious downhill riding, it also rides well on the road and does not feel too cumbersome.

I can't talk technical about brake specs, suspension/forks, gear ratios but this is a fantastic entry level mountain bike for anyone wanting to get into the sport.
I am so pleased with the bike, so psyched about cycling and I think choosing the right bike is partially to blame for this! ;-)
