Advantages: Very strong Disadvantages: Uncomfortably tight
I have been swimming using a swimmingcap regardless of my hair length. The reason being that it holds your hair in place and prevents the swimming pool from getting hair in the water.
Recently, I bought a speedolatexcap which is very tight and though secure, hurts my head. Being slippery, it also tends to slip off while you are swimming. The troublesome part is that you have to wash it with cold water and thoroughly rise it to wash off all chlorine immediately after a swim to prevent it from deteriorating and then dry it with talc powder to ensure dryness.
I still prefer my worn out swimmingcap (made of cloth material) rather than latex. At least it shapes according to my head shape than grip it like the latex one. ...

An excellent item whether it be the 1gb or 2gb you are looking to purchase
Unless you are swimming the channel, the 1gb model will hold plenty of tracks for the average swim session.
After using a Lavod waterproof mp3 player, the speedo is far superior in many ways...
1) The sound quality is far superior. Good bass,
2) Easy to use and change tracks
3) Excellent battery life (between 10 and 12 hrs on average)
4) Easy to transfer music tracks onto
On the downside........
some images of the item for sale show "longer" ear buds, but the earbuds supplied are quite short and I have found they do not stay in when swimming.
To overcome this problem I have purchased longer earbuds and replaced the originals on the speedo earphones............ now I have superb quality sound for the whole of my swim.
