I have never owned this gun but i have used the Spyder pilot ACS 05 many times! I used this gun (borrowed off my friend) about 7months ago while my smartparts ion (a very popular tournament standard gun) was being fixed. What can i say.... most people who have owned one say they loved it but not me i only just liked it :( I have had alot of experience with paintball guns (check out my other reviews!!) heres the following i have used and owned:

smartparts guns (ion, impulse, shocker)
tippmanns (98 custom, a5)
autocockers (e2 eblade)
planet eclipse (ego)
wdp angels (speed)

This gun was reliable in the 2 weeks i used it (i played 1 walkon (where you take your own guns to a site and play a full day of games against other paintball gun owners) and a day of training with my paintball team (on a supair field which is a open field with blow up bunkers). I did not have a single a chop (that is where the paintball is only half way in the gun chamber when the bolt (which fires it) chops it in half) on those 2 days i used it. I would not buy one of these instead of a ion (which is about the same price).

Speed:
The speed is fairly fast for price. In the handle you can change the different modes; Semi-Auto, 3-Shot Burst, 6-Shot Burst, and Full-Auto. You can also change the rate of fire from 6bps (bps stands for balls per second) to 13bps. This is a decent feature for an electro marker of this price range because it gives you more control than the older electro markers that only let you choose between high rate of fire and low rate of fire. This hugely helps if you can not afford an expensive hopper (the thing that holds the paint and feeds it into the gun). If you have a cheap hopper that only feeds 6bps, you set the gun at 6bps and vice verser (for other hoppers). It's quite easy to operate with only one button to push, and the Color Access Mode Display (a screen which shows stuff) lights up actual words and numbers so it's easy to tell which mode and Rate of fire you are in, without needing to wait for combinations of blinking lights (like the average electro marker). Overall the rate of firing is average considering for another £20 or so you could get the smartparts ion which can do 17 bps.

Accuracy:
The accuracy is quite average compared to the other spyder guns. The barrel suppied with the marker is 12 inches which is the average length of stock barrels. This barrel looks good but dont let it decieve you, the performance lets down the looks. I would highly recommend buying a better barrel for this gun if you buy it (get an ion instead!!!!!!!!!). Nothing much to say about accuracy apart from it being average to the lower price markers.

Noise:
This marker is very noisy!! BANG BANG BANG youll get shot down because they will hear you coming!! Compared to other markers this is loud, it is not as loud as a tippmann but it is still very loud!

Size:
Quite small considering a tippman is nearly twice the size. Its heavy but lighter than a tippmann!! Its not very comfortable, the drop forward (where the air bittle srews in) is awkward it drops the bottle at too much of an angle (this is just my apinion) if you get the chance replace the regulator and the hose including the drop forward! I would recommend the smartparts s-rail and a dye paintball airport on/off and the average macro line fitting (type of hose). Its gun overall is rather bulky and does not feel right.

Air effiency:
nothing much to say apart from it being average compared to other guns and is way more effiecient than a tippmann

Maintanence:
Easy to maintain. You have to remove the quick strip pin and access to the bolt and rammer are right in front of you WOW! Its easier than the ion where you have to remove the outer body but once you know how to access the ion its just as easy. (im contradicting myself but you will know what i mean once you have tried)

CONCLUSION: To be honest (i know spyder lovers will get offended) i would not buy one they are overall a dissapointment compared to the smartparts ion which is a completely different league but the same price (£20 more). If you really love them buy it but for an extra £20 just get the ion which you will not regret. Ask anyone who owns an ion and they will tell you this; get an ion they are amazing value and way better than spyders!! I hope this review helps you decide but go for the sensible option (the ion) not the eight legged wana be!
