I purchased this paintball marker as my first paintball marker in 2005. Reading the manufactorer's description makes this marker seem like a dream machine. However the reality is much different.
Marker features: Electronic grip frame which can surpass 8balls per second(bps) Double trigger allowing for enhanced rate of fire(ROF) Aluminum construction Pull pin bolt for ease of maintenece and field stripping. Expansion champer for extra C02 efficiency. Push safety Single piece polished barrel. Vertical feedneck for maxium rate of fire(ROF). Drop forward bottomline for ease of tank mounting. Rubber finger detent.
My first experience using the JTe 3.5. was a good one. My setup contained of the JTe 3.5 marker, a 20oz C02 tank and a VL revolution electronic hopper. The marker chronoed reasonably consistantly at around a +-10 foot per second. This was quite good considering the marker was running a C02. With an agitated electronic hopper you can easily break the 8BPS ROF barrier.
The anodized body has a very nice sheen to it and looks as if would survive quite a while before coming chipped or worn. The double trigger had avery nice, crisp feel to it but it had some side to side wobble. The marker itself require a 9 volt battery for operation and of course a gas source in the form of C02 or compressed air.
When firing the marker I could easily pick targets off from around 75ft accuratly before I had to angle the marker upwards to gain range. Accuracy was moderate but over 50ft around 3 shots were required to hit the desired target.
Overall all the JT 3.5e is a solid begginer marker which allows the user to play paintball without the need to upgrade to a btter marker instanly. Howevr I would suggest purchasing a good electronic loader/hopper for it (usually around £35-40) to reduce ball breakages in the chamber and to increase the ROF. A solid marker designed to play paintball, it is the no frills marker.
