We take children and adults from beginners to advanced riders and we are happy to give coaching and lessons to riders on their own horses. The emphasis is, as always, on learning the classical style in both flat work and jumping. This is complemented by holding regular pony days for children during school holidays and stable management courses for adults at other times. By doing this riders are able to become good allrounders having experience in both riding and care.
Advantages: excellent tuition and horses Disadvantages: might have to wait to get a place
...I used to ride at snowdon but stopped when i got my own horse as i couldn't afford both. I went their for several years after starting riding at another school that although it became an ABRS school it was actually shocking. On discovering Snowdon, i had to wait to get a place but it was worth the wait as the tuiton, facilities and horses were all fantastic. i had many class lessons and a few privates and learnt a lot of new skills. I wouldnt class the horses as typical ridingschool ponies - they are a much better standard. In the summer i did a bit of xc which was always good fun and my jumping skills increased. Everyone was really friendly who worked there and it had a pleasant atmosphere. I made many good friends on my riding lessons as wel.....

Advantages: Cheapest I found, free door collection. Fast pass - No time wasting. Disadvantages: Change of car.
...Well I started my driving tuition with 1st time because it was the cheapest I could find in the area. The first 4 lessons were only £60 and I even did a small amount of driving in lesson 1. The car was a new diesel corsa, which was a gem to drive. Only stalled it once. The instructor was flexible but wasn't fully qualified (ie trainee instructor). However the quality of the teaching was good. He was a bit too enthusiastic, and got frustrated sometimes, possibly because he realised my potential, and I changed to Dave Miller after 8 lessons.
That was a mistake.
Dave Miller was the total opposite. Most of the lessons, which were slightly more expensive, were spent parked up talking, rather than gaining essential experience on the road. In 5th lesson 10 mins driving, 50 mins talking. The first couple involved much more driving. £20...

Advantages: Fantastic School Disadvantages: I miss out on new building
...and current.
The building is fully environmentally freindly, conserving energy, water, heat, electricity, everything!
We will have 2 huge full sized gyms, seperate hall with proper stage and storage for off stage props etc. Our new drama programme will insure this is put to good use!
Our school is set to go to the top
Right now it's dirty, dingy, building is falling apart. But we still have a lot of stuff, we're still one of the best in Swindon for facilities.

Teaching
----------------------
The teaching in St. Josephs is supurb. I've come accross some of the best teachers ever in my time here. Having no other school to compare it to, I suppose my view is unjustified.
But the teachers go further than just teach you, they try and insure that you understand, that you accept their teaching and try to...
