Fatty to Fitty
Review of Bremshey Pacer C Elliptical by
jacksback40
Advantages: Good all round fat burner for the home
Disadvantages: can get quite boring and will not stand too much hammer
I bought one of these things about 12 months ago to do a specific job.
I have always been something of a fitness fanatic, but always liked a couple of beers or so when finishing work at nights.
In june of 2006 i decided it was time to work on my 16 stone body and reduce not only weight but also to burn off excess fat.
I used the eliptcal machine alongside other methods of training.
I started off by working out on the machine for up to one hour ... ...and pulse cmonitor as well as the amount of calories burned.
These things always seem a little on the gimmic side, but it does give you a figure to aim at each time one uses the machine.
It will also tell you how many KM you have done as well as the speed at which you are going.
With this machine i have lost around the 5 stone mark, and this helped me gain second place in the Nimble, Fatty to Fitty comp last month. For my efforts i was featured ...

Easy to store easy to use
Review of Carl Lewis Lateral Thigh Trainer by
lozzoz
Advantages: easy to store, easy to use!
Disadvantages: noisey
If you want an easy at home way to shift some pounds this is it!!! The lateral thigh trainer is compact and convienient to use. I found it easy to motivate myself to use it as I didn't have to leave the house, and could use it while watching tv or a dvd. On the negative side, it can be a little hard to use at first (but you soon get the hang of balancing whilst using it). Additionally the chain inside it can be a bit noisey when your exercising.
... ...the money, and would be compatible for use with a person of almost any fitness level. However as with most types of exercise I would recomend using this as part of a routine. e.g use it twice a week and go jogging or do a fitness dvd twice a week aswell. ...

Creaking about in my back passage
Review of Carl Lewis AWD15 Air Walker by
Amazingwoo
Advantages: Compact. Easy to use.
Disadvantages: Loud. Bouncy. Footplates seem fragile.
...Googling I came across the Carl Lewis Glide Trainer and found that Amazon are selling it for £79.99 with free Supersaver p&p although I paid extra for next day delivery. If you pop along to the actual Carl Lewis website, you'll see the machine is being sold for £84.50. I then cashed £35 of survey reward vouchers and placed the order. Five previous purchasers had left small reviews, 2 of which were negative so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the ... ...
When I finally got the machine delivered by the courier company which could be a review in itself and proves that sometimes, shouting and being downright rude to people who lie does actually work - I found much to my relief that the machine is about 95% assembled. All I had to do was screw in each arm pole and screw on the front grip pole, clip on the calorie/stride/time counter and I was off although on the first use I did have a "Mrs Doyle" ...

V Fit Mini Stepper
Review of V-Fit Mini Stepper by
sunshine_supergirl
Advantages: Very easy to use, move around and store.
Disadvantages: I'm sure there are better steppers but for a higher price.
Before I start describing the wonders and blunders of the v fit mini stepper I'd like to explain why I opted for this style of home gym equipment. I read a bit on the internet about steppers and how people lose 2-3 inches just using the stepper every day, although this would be a nice bonus I wasn't focusing on losing weight so much as getting fitter and healthier. I live in a large block of flats in London, on the 7th floor with other people living ... ...of this I gave up on my collection of fitness DVDs as I didn't want to be banging about jumping and running every day to the tune of "Lift 2,3,4 and Down 2,3,4, Slide 2,3,4 and Back 2,3,4, and Starjumps...". So basically I believed the quietest exercise equipment I could buy would be a mini stepper.
So off to Argos to get a good deal on a V Fit Mini Stepper I went. I had looked on the internet first to find out the cheapest for quality stepper I ...
