The best amature board
Review of Burton Custom X by
sonyduo
Advantages: Flexible, excellent design, super construction and finish
Disadvantages: Expensive
...Bought this board to use on the slopes of canada, i'd been using standard boards over here in europe befor and didn't know the difference. When i got on to this board it felt like i was on a piece of rubber in comparrison.
I couldn't belive the difference between the standard boards and a this one, the feel is amazing and it totally changes the experience. you can feel every bump and this changed my style so much and i carn't belive how much i improved using this board.
I had Burton Mission bindings and some Soloman boots and this seemed to be a excellent combi for me. The only problem or niggle i had with this board it that the top surface is so easy to scratch. I had a scag skier ride over the edge of my board and got some real scratches in there.
The base of the board is excellent however in my opinion it takes a lot of work...

Limited Imports, so buy early
Review of Trek 4900 WSD by
neil4ster
Advantages: Comfortable, plush ride, sensible gearing
Disadvantages: Price, low spec group set
...Girlfriend was getting back ache after riding a small version of a male bike, so i bought her one for her birthday...no more back ache.
Specific for ladies in the way that,
1. Small brake leavers
2. Larger saddle
3. Shorter top tube
4. Softer suspension fork
Ther are probably loads more changes compared to the normal 4900, but these are the obvious ones. As a package though it works well, and is pretty comfortable to ride. Plush forks (low stiction), sensible gearing and a nice ladies saddle to protect the soft bits!
You pay a premium though for such attention to detail. Yes you pay the same as the male version, but you get downgraded gears, cassette, hubs and chainrings. Bit tight if you ask me, are the ladies being taken advantage of in the way that they might not know the difference between the Deore and LX range? NIce colours...

Stylo a manufacurer of quality ladies golf gear
Review of Stylo Golf Shoes by
jprwilliam
Advantages: Good quality clothes at competative prices
Disadvantages: Use tried and tested designs not fashion leader.
...I have been looking for practical, reasonably priced every day golf wear ever since being spoilt by my visit to New York in November 2002.
On a visit to Norwich I found a lovely selection of Stylo golf clothes for ladies. I was tempted to purchase a pink & a black polo neck jumper and a pink bodywarmer. The polo necks were £14 and the bodywarmer £25.
Today 23.09.03 they had their first outing in our ladies day. The clothes looked smart and fitted like a glove.
I look for winter clothes to be light, easy to move in, easy to wash and dry but above all to keep you warm while allowing your skin to breath. These clothes appear to meet all these criteria and I will have to wait to see if they meet the test of time.
The polo necks are made from 100% cotton and the bodywarmer 100% polyester unfortunately non of the labels inform you of where...
