Surrey Health and Fitness has a 9 hole golf course, driving range, a Technogym, health club, jacuzzi and sauna.
To join the gym you have to go on an induction meeting first, where they measure your characteristics (note if you have high blood pressure they will not accept you and send you to the doctors) and show you how to use the various machines and set up a work program to what you want to achieve. Everything in the gym is computer controlled you login with your technogym card and it tells you your workout for the session. The card reads in your heart rate and calories burnt, or weight lifted and power used to lift weights as you do the various exercises. Once you have logged out you can see your performance for the various exercises and total calories burnt etc. On the Cardio Vascular machines you can plug in a set of head phones to listen to radio or TV, there are 6 TV's with different channels on each so you don't have to miss the football or coronation street to go to the gym.
As part of the price you have the use of the sauna and jacuzzi and there are full shower changing facilities as well as lockers.
The staff are very friendly and you can ask them to change your routine when ever you want or to show you how to use a particular machine. Other extra services include sports massage, and beauty treatments as well as a creche in the morning.
The downsides are there are only dumb bells and a lack of free weights. However the computer controlled weight machines should be enough to exercise all the particular muscle groups and should have a high enough range of weight to suit your needs.
A swimming pool would be a welcome addition like the pinacle health club, however other health clubs charge more with this services and you have to make use of them to make them worthwhile.
For Peak time rate the cost is £45 a month which is reasonable seeing you have the use of the gym 7am to 10pm monday to friday, and 7am to 7am weekends.
