Advantages: Light weight, good features if calibrated properly. Rugged.
Disadvantages: Quite big, but it does do a lot to be fair!!!!

Spent some time looking for a good outdoor watch with Altimeter, Compass and Barometric Pressure etc.. The Vector hits all those and so far seems pretty accurate. The compass once calibrated properly is accurate to within 3-5 degrees, one nice feature is the levelling bubble on the face that allows you to get a more accuarte reading. A big watch in terms of circumferance but really light weight you will not notice it on your wrist after a few minutes. The Altimeter is pretty good but you do need to update it quite regularly, the best way to do this is to put the height in to the Altimeter, being one of the older watches in the suunto range it doesn't have the function as some of the newer one s do of being able to freeze the altimeter mode when at home and leave it in Barometer mode and then switch to Altimeter when out hiking, but i ...

Suunto Mosquito diving wrist diving computer

Advantages: very easy to read underwater
Disadvantages: battery life not very good

Very easy to use wrist diving computer. The information provided is clear and the digits are large enough to read underwater. Information provided when diving is depth, time, no decompression time, water temperature, ascent rate, safety stop and nitrox mix. As a scuba diving instructor I have had 3 Mosquito's and always found them to be reliable, even after many hours of diving. As the computer is on all the time it can be used as a watch, the bracelet is black rubber and the facing comes in different colours. An additional extra is the face protector which I would recommend to avoid scratching the glass. Down side is that the battery life is only around 6 months, but the battery change is not too expensive to replace. I came across this store Go Outdoors about 1 year ago when I went with my partner, he needed some new boots for work and he was told about this place from a friend of his. It is a store that sells everything to do with outdoors from coats and jackets to tents, any thing to do with camping, fishing equipment, skiing, cycling, caravanning, boots, maps every thing you need. The store we went to is in Coventry it is situated at Coventry Business Park, Canley Road, just 10 minutes from the NEC which is not to far from us. It had ample parking places, and it is open every day of the week.
