Spent some time looking for a good outdoor watch with Altimeter, Compass and Barometric Pressure etc.. The Vector hits all those and so far seems pretty accurate. The compass once calibrated properly is accurate to within 3-5 degrees, one nice feature is the levelling bubble on the face that allows you to get a more accuarte reading. A big watch in terms of circumferance but really light weight you will not notice it on your wrist after a few minutes. The Altimeter is pretty good but you do need to update it quite regularly, the best way to do this is to put the height in to the Altimeter, being one of the older watches in the suunto range it doesn't have the function as some of the newer one s do of being able to freeze the altimeter mode when at home and leave it in Barometer mode and then switch to Altimeter when out hiking, but i don't see this as any major deal. When i use it fot hiking i always put in my start height off the map and update as i go, ie. on top of hills where you have a trig point or spot height, but seems to be accurate to within 5m, can't argue with that. All in all a great watch, really rugged feel to it, go anywhere do anything type of watch. Really pleased with mine.
