Advantages: Excellent story, characters and I love the Cornwall accents Disadvantages: It is addictive
Doc Martin is an absolutely fantastic series. I missed it when it was on tv but a friend leant me all three series' and I was immediatley hooked from the first episode.
The story - Doctor Ellingham 'Doc Martin' a top notch surgeon from London, moves down to a little village in Cornwall called Portwenn. He is a grouchy, cantakerous man who has absolutely no bedside manner whatsoever. Each episode has a different story but they are mainly to do with the good doctor having to 'save' someone in trouble, rushing to the rescue and very often getting on people's nerves.
A love theme runs through the story between Doc Martin and Louisa a sweet school teacher. It is not an obvious love theme and due to the doctor's way with words, or complete lack thereof, he puts his foot in it plenty of times leading to the love theme not really ...
Advantages: It's a blues band Disadvantages: if you don't like blues.........
I've been listening to a fair bit of blues lately, and a work collegue gave me a loan of a cd by The Rev Doc and the Congrgation. Well, I was really impressed, more so when I realized that they were playing in Studio 1 in Glasgow the following weekend. So, braving the elements, I ventured forth for a night of blues.

I still think that a blues band playing in a small pub is a great nights, entertainment, and on this occasion I was not proved wrong.
The band started off with an instrumental, with no sing of the Rev. then he sauntered up, blues harp in hand and gave it his all. I'd been told he was a stunning harmonica ...
Advantages: Very durable. Simple to use. Disadvantages: Not much.
This is one of Mattel's motorised Shake and Go toys from the Pixar CGI film "Cars" which are released under the Fisher Price banner. The film is incredibly popular with children of all ages and the merchandise is still selling well years after the film was released in the cinema.
This toy in particular is Doc Hudson, a former racing car who is now the town doctor and judge in Radiator Springs, the town in which most of the film is set. The toy has a reasonably good likeness to the character from the film. However, like the other toys in this line, it is stylised, presumably to accommodate the mechanism inside.
When you shake the car from side to side an engine start-up noise is heard. As you continue shaking a revving sound is heard. The more you shake, the further the car will go. Then you place the car down on the floor ...
