Advantages: Compact, not too heavy, packs a lot in. Disadvantages: Feels bulky if filled to the brim. Price is a little high.
I used the Tatonka Flightcase for a short trip to Amsterdam and found it really good for what I needed it for. I was on my trip for three days and had more than enough space in the pack for clothes, washbag and other sundries. The capacity of the pack is 40L which may not be ideal for long trips but for trips that last one or two weeks I dont think you'd have a problem. The obvious advantage is that the pack fits in hand luggage and it does with no trouble at all.
I didn't really have any problem with the pack but I would say that it did feel a little bulky sometimes even though it's not that big. It is also quite pricey although I have seen it getting cheaper on certain sites. I paid £60 for the pack. Other than that, it was more or less perfect and many people were amazed at just how much it held. Definately going to be using ...

We have travelled with Travel City Direct twice now, and I have not had any problems that stick in my mind.
Although we did travel 1st class for better service and easier check-in etc, there were no delays and the flights were fine.
I would recommend utilising their pre flightbag check in: basically you check your bags in with TCD in the morning of your last day away and you don't see them again until you arrive back.
Unfortunatley our summer holiday time does coinside with Florida's hurricane season but have only had two minor ones when over there.
The planes were the ones featured on their website and the food was better than any other airline I have been on, would definately go with them again ...

Although the bag is described as a 'Vanity Case' it is very versatile and I used it recently as my flight-bag/hand-luggage. The inside is expandable, so it is a good size.
The only reservations I have are that, unlike other travel-bags, there is no 'piggy-back' connection to connect the bag to your suitcase. Also, there should be a detachable mirror inside the bag.
