Advantages: Compact, not too heavy, packs a lot in. Disadvantages: Feels bulky if filled to the brim. Price is a little high.
...I used the Tatonka Flightcase for a short trip to Amsterdam and found it really good for what I needed it for. I was on my trip for three days and had more than enough space in the pack for clothes, washbag and other sundries. The capacity of the pack is 40L which may not be ideal for long trips but for trips that last one or two weeks I dont think you'd have a problem. The obvious advantage is that the pack fits in hand luggage and it does with no trouble at all.
I didn't really have any problem with the pack but I would say that it did feel a little bulky sometimes even though it's not that big. It is also quite pricey although I have seen it getting cheaper on certain sites. I paid £60 for the pack. Other than that, it was more or less perfect and many people were amazed at just how much it held. Definately going to be using for my...

...This sleeping bag has served me well for a long time. I have had it for a few years now and it isn't even showing signs of wear. Vango has not disappointed.
Although it is relatively expensive you are paying for quality.
I have trekked with this in my pack and it has left plenty of room for all the other essentials, such as tent, clothes, food, etc... This sleeping bag is definately a great buy.
My only problem with it is that it did not keep me warm in the winter, but this was to be expected as it is not advertised to be all that effective in conditions below -10 degrees.
I would recommend this to any serious camper/hiker for the spring/summer months.
It is easy to pack down and compress in the bag given, with compression straps. Ends up in at a very manageable size, although not the smallest you can get. The price reflects...

Advantages: Warm, light, confortable Disadvantages: No shoulder/neck baffle, zip can snag at times.
...The Piute (also availble; woman\'s Piute) is a warm and cozy sleeping bag. Its price is a reflection of its quality and appears reasonable compared to other bags of similar specifictions. Its lightweight design is very useful for back packing or anytime that space is at a premium. It comes with a small stuff sack that it fits into neatly, although could be compressed further (not recomended for down bags, especially not for longer periods of time).
The hood offers superb protection from the cold although it could possibly benefit from a second draw string baffle around the neck.shoulders area. However the drawstring around the top of the hood to enclose around the face is confortable and good at keeping the heat in whist allowing freedom of movement.
When using this bag i (very) occasionally have a little trouble with the zip...

I bought this kettle from one of the biggest electrical retailers, loved the design, hated the price, it was lightweight and easy to handle, as my 81 year old mother has arthritus.
