Advantages: Easy to hit, easy to keep straight Disadvantages: Not long hitters
I first started playing golf when I was 10 years old but was forced to take a 20+ break due a back problem only returning to regular play two years ago.
I decided to pretty much start from scratch and took my time choosing a set of irons best suited to my 'back to basics' plan.
I picked TaylorMadeburners because they have the largest legal club face and a very forgiving play action. I also picked steel shafts as once again they are easier to hit.
'TaylorMade' clubs are always well made and these are forged (not cast) with a hollow cut back giving a reasonable deep cut into the ball. The original Burners were a little light but the XD's have more wieght and a better feel in the swing.
I think these clubs are perfect for serious new golfer looking to improve his game from a handicap above 20 down to about 16 over a period ...
Advantages: good look, and very good spin aroung greens Disadvantages: need to be a good and concistant ball hitter
i found this club to be very accurate and forgiving ,but at the same time the y-grooves gave me amazing spin and feel , i would recomend this club to anyone that wants the most spin possible and has a goodish handicap as mine is 6 but i think anyone playing from 12 can hit this club to its full potential , the thing is that you must be concistant as the bounce of this club can cause inconsistancy and may cause some off hits that will send the ball off target and often resulting in shanks or a low spin ratio overall i think this club is pretty good for its value but the only down point is the need for good ball stiriking and a good trajectory
thanks ...
Advantages: Fantastic feel and a great roll Disadvantages: None
What makes any putter different from another? They are all used on the green to roll the ball into the hole aren't they? Well this range is a little different...
The TaylorMade Nubbins range of putters is very distinctive in looks. They have an orange rubber insert covering the clubface (where you hit the ball) that has little 'nubs' protruding from it (a bit like lego!!). The idea behind this is that when the putter strikes the golf ball, the ball is gripped by the nubs which are incredibly soft, stays on the putter face for longer than a normal putter and then makes the ball roll much quicker after impact. This action reduces any skidding that may normally occur and promotes a great feel and roll on the green thus producing a good putt.
Surprisingly the technology actually works!! These putters feel very soft and the roll ...
