Advantages: spins loads and nice from bunkers Disadvantages: cuts balls at the start
...Im a huge fan of the Taylormade brand am when i brought this wedge i was not disapointed. I brought it for £80 which i fell was a good price concidering i brought it off the rack and custom fitted. When i first used it i was amazed by the spin it gave me, however it did cut a few balls! but after almost a year of use im not still cutting balls. I have still however a nice amount of backspin when i strike it. This is remember a club that the taylormade tour pros use to great success. How often do you see them get up and down from 100 yards, the bunker or even in deep rough. Yes really often. So if you give it some real practice and thought then you could do the exact same. ...I bought this wedge when i decided that my old one was just not good enough for me. I bought this club after being recommened by a great friend fo mine who plays of a handicap of 3! The club looks absolutely fantastic in matt black.
This club has been designed to give far greater spin and ball control thanks to Y-shaped grooves cut into the club face. These grooves promote far higher ball spin and therefore more control. The club is light with a large head which gives great forgiveness.
I have found that the club is very responsive and that you can feel when you do not hit the ball quite right. However because of the great forgiveness of this club it does not seem to make much if any difference to be striking of the ball. Because of this it is very easy for you to identify where you are going wrong and therefore far quicker for you...
