Advantages: Fantastic feel and a great roll Disadvantages: None
...What makes any putter different from another? They are all used on the green to roll the ball into the hole aren't they? Well this range is a little different...
The TaylorMade Nubbins range of putters is very distinctive in looks. They have an orange rubber insert covering the clubface (where you hit the ball) that has little 'nubs' protruding from it (a bit like lego!!). The idea behind this is that when the putter strikes the golf ball, the ball is gripped by the nubs which are incredibly soft, stays on the putter face for longer than a normal putter and then makes the ball roll much quicker after impact. This action reduces any skidding that may normally occur and promotes a great feel and roll on the green thus producing a good putt.
Surprisingly the technology actually works!! These putters feel very soft and the roll of the ball...

...and I find the ball is most certainly ending up where I am aiming it.
As for the driver, I still canoot quite get used to it. I have gone back to my TaylorMadeBubble Burner, which Ii tend to hit better than the Fat Shaft. Ii quite fancy trying the Deep Red Driver but refuse to pay £250 for 1 club! I do like the other fairway woods (3 & 5) which I hit quite well. You can also get a 7 wood in the range.
If you visit your local pro, Wilson Fat Shaft also do custom made clubs, and although I bought mine off the shelf I believe custom made clubs, which are set up personally for the user would give even better accuracy.
I thoroughly recommend that anyone thinking about purchasing a new set of clubs go and visit their local pro shop and demo the Fat Shafts - it puts the enjoyment back into the game - for me certainly.
Happy golfing!!

...Incorperating TLC, taylormade launch control, featuring the now two screws in the sole to make the club adaptable for the player. If you draw, fade, violently slice or cream the ball this club is perfect for you. Preferred on numbers of tours around the world this club is amongst the most highly rated on the planet. Its easy to see why to be honest, from the off, personally i loved it. The ease of use, the look, feel, design, everything about this club is taylormade all over and is nothing but exceptional. The factory grip is just the right thickness, the shaft is just the right weight, the face is just right depth and width. The forgivness on those bad shots, not that there will be many off centre but on the odd occassion the shot will not be far off perfect. The beauty with this technology is that you can chop and change it around...
