...I've always enjoyed table football - but only on fast, proper full size football tables. I even won a medal for goalie in a college tournament, so when a major birthday loomed a year last November I decided to try and get my own football table. I tried various web sites and the one that seemed to offer the best combination of specification and value for money was the Garlando G500 from Table Sports Ltd.
So I shelled out £285 plus £40 delivery on a Garlando G500 football table. It is like the one in "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and has excellent smooth action telescopic steel playing rods with nylon bushes and ball bearings and a full set of moulded players in red and blue. ...Harvard are a fantastic maker of most football table, pool tables, table tennis tables and snooker tables. I will be reviewing their table football table.
I have recently purchased this item on ebay, I have found it to be a great buy, for a bargain of £40 it was great, but I must warn you that I have done my research and that these table can cost between £200-£300 as new. This fantastic table is made of pine and is very durable and strong.
**Durability**
As I bought this from second hand I do not know how durable it is from new. I bought it with a fue bumps and scrapes. It hasn't had much more damage to it from when I bought it and is very durable. It is a very heavy table and very thick this makes it last much longer.

...I must write about the latest purchase a table football! I had never seen the attraction of playing this game until we have a go in our local pub. I was instantly hooked on it and thought what a great idea this would be for the youth club.
I have purchased it on behalf of a local youth group. It was rather an expensive buy at £299.00 from www.excercisezone.com, but it was one of the cheapest after doing a search on one of those price comparison sites.
It is made of pine wood making it very durable and strong. It's basically a table with a deep top where there are long steel tubes going across it width ways with the men attached to the tubes. There is a glass plate on top of the table making the men inside locked in. The tubes are what you play with and there are four on each side with a handle on each of the tubes for you...

There is no doubt that Iain Banks has written some fantastic books. Unfortunately he seems to have this habit of punctuating modern classics with some distinctly so-so titles.
