Goliath is a big hooking ball
Review of Brunswick BVP Goliath Deep Purple Bowling Ball by il_cacciatore

Advantages: Hook potential, colour, price
Disadvantages: Discontinued

The Brunswick BVP Goliath is part of their 'Value Performance' range of bowling balls together with BVP wizard, BVP Ambush, BVP rampage and the BVP punisher. The BVP is now a discontinued bowling ball replaced by the BVP Mammoth. The BVP range of bowling balls are supposed to give high end performance at value prices which they seem to do very well. The BVP Goliath has a high-load particle cover-stock (400 grit sanded) which up until the mammoth ...
...of right now is the Brunswick Danger Zone. I bowl with a 15lb and own a Brunswick Monster ScreamR bowling ball which is a ball for light-medium oil reactive compared with the goliath for medium to heavy. They are both drilled for maximum hook with finger inserts. This ball is a heavy oil ball through and through. It will over hook on dryer lanes and will hook in the oil where a reactive ball wont. The coverstock-core combination produces the biggest ... Read review

Cant get a sturdier bowling shoe
Review of Linds Classic Exxxtra Bowling Shoes by il_cacciatore

Advantages: Adjustable slide sole, well made construction.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

...of purchase. These Linds come with an adjustable sliding foot which is either left or right depending on which hand you bowl with. You can change the inserts to allow the bowler to adjust his slide to the approach conditions and to his/her own style. The other foot is non sliding rubber. Available insert disc for the sole are: Buckskin, St. Louis, Fast & St. Ives and for the heal: Rubber, Buckskin & Waffle. So this gives the bowling of a range of ...
...its important that if you want a good slide that you own a pair of shoes that can be customized. They are comfortable to wear too. They have a padded tongue and collar, absorbent lining, replaceable cushioned footbed and soft leather construction. I like these bowling shoes a lot and would recommend them. note: the recommended lane condition specific criteria drop down does not apply to this item but its marked as a field that must be completed (I've ... Storm v power, Bowling Ball
Review of Storm v power, Bowling Ball by FVELLA

Advantages: Not as expensive as the USA versions
Disadvantages: Too fierce for dry lanes

Technical Specifications Coverstock: Aggressive Solid Reactive Weight Block: Inverted RAD3 Finish: 1000-grit Smooth Logos: Gyration: 2.52 Differential: 0.055 Durometer: 74-76 Track Flare: 6" plus Length: 5 Backend: 9 The X-Factor V-Power is a limited release overseas version of the X-FActor Triple Xtreme, with a Strong, Solid Reactive, coverstock. This is a very good ball for medium to heavy oiled lanes. You can adjust this ball to suit your style. ...
...you can go for the polished finish which will make the ball go longer on oily lanes. If your lanes are very dry forget this ball as it will start gripping the lane early on and you will miss your target by a fair distance. I have been using this ball at Tolworth for a few sessions now and had a fairly good outcome. The ball seems to be quite consistent and does give a good hit on the pins. Would recommend this to most people. ... Read review

What a Hooker
Review of Colossus Bowling Balls by FVELLA

Advantages: Hook plenty
Disadvantages: may not be suitable for medium to dry lanes

...imports ? The Colossus is black in colour. It is made of "GriPpeR EF" coverstock which the manufacturer claims to be easy adjustability so that it is simple to control the amount of hook that you desire. As yet I have not bowled enough games to give a more detailed acount. Hopefully that will follow in a few weeks. ... Read review

BIG BALLS AND CLOWN SHOES
Review of Dexter SST 5 Bowling Shoes by dolphin_style

Advantages: n/a
Disadvantages: n/a

...go to: www.amfproducts.com · Dexter “Michael”, these are a budget shoe and should cost you around £25. Go to www.completeleisure.co.uk and follow the appropriate link. They are the 2 best options available to you, but be assured, the shoes you buy, will be 10 times better than those grubby ones from under the reception desk! Now moving up a level, I would suggest you consider the following models: · AMF “Boss”, these have ...
...you get a pair of Dexter “SST’s”. Any model above 4 should do. All come with a more advanced level of inter-changeable sole. And the build quality is second to none. However this supremacy comes at a price. With model 4 starting at around 100 notes, and reaching up to £130 for the 6th version, you have got to be real serious to get a pair of these. · Alternatively there is the American favourite: Lind’s Exxtra (Yes, its got ...
