Excellent Family Tent

Advantages: Spacious, easy to erect
Disadvantages: Fairly bulky, only for car touring

I have owned this tent for a couple of years, and can honestly say it's one of the best I have owned. There are some great deals out there for this tent now, and at around £150 it's an absolute bargain. Easy to put up, the only thing I would say is that you do need to peg all the guy lines out. not in the winds!

Advantages: easy to put up
Disadvantages: not durable enough

a very good tent, easy to put up, can be done in around 20 mins. can stand up in it so it helps when getting changed. holds six so ideal for a family. but there is one problem - do not use it in strong winds! we went camping, as a family. me, my brother, my mam and dad, my nan and taid. Review of Coleman Savannah Frame Tent

It's a breeze.

Advantages: Easy to put up
Disadvantages: Slightly drafty

I bought this tent a year ago in a sale for around £50. Normally I think it costs nearer double that. It is a 3 man tent with a domed living area and a lower sleeping area at the back. The design is very simple. There are 4 poles in total. Two long poles thread crosswise to create the dome, and then the two shorter poles form the sleeping area. The poles are obviously quite long but the sections are held together with elastic thread so they fold ...
...for example the two longer poles arc over the top of the dome and are secured by tags at each end. In other words the poles are not secured to the ground. This makes assembly very easy even for one person. Once erected the whole tent can be moved to the best position. The edge flap of the tent running around the base is then fixed to the ground with pegs. As mentioned in the other review there is a seperate inner tent for the sleeping area. This ...

Coleman Weathermaster tent

Advantages: A reasonable sized tent for the average family
Disadvantages: Quite heavy and bulky

I've had this tent for about 6 years now and it's accompanied us on many camping trips. The manufacturer states it's an 8 person tent. Personally, I think they're referring to Snow White and the Seven Dwarves here, because it's not THAT big! Myself, hubby, teenage son and 12 year old daughter fit it in quite nicely, but I wouldn't want to fit any more in after that! PROS: Nice and roomy for 4 people (wouldn't bother after that). It keeps you warm! ...
...when it's hot. It's withstood high winds and downpours quite nicely without any problems. CONS: We find it quite big and bulky to transport with all our other camping equipment, but to be fair, I suppose that's the drawback of buying a large(ish) tent.
