Large, comfortable & easy to errect!
Review of Outwell Vermont L Tunnel Tent by
mtcrafer
Advantages: Size, bug/draft free central room, covered poarch for entry & cooking
Disadvantages: Heavy
No small light thing this but a great family/group tent for those longer breaks.
Supprisingly easy to put up - much easier than the dome we'd used previously - being a straight tunnel just means starting at the back and lifting eacg section as you move forward.
Inside the bedrooms include storage pockets - essential for glasses etc when you go to bed - but if you are using air beds you will only fit three in the larger room and two in the smaller ... ...tent. The central room has a sewn in ground sheet that reduces drafts and means that it can be warmed up nicely should the wether not be as warm as you'd hoped - when is it! The pale grey roof allows loads of light into this section even when the windows are covered. There are a number of storage pouches included and a wardrobe with hanging rail.
The tent has electric hook up entry points and velcro hoops to retain the cable run up to the cental ...

Camp well with Outwell!
Review of Outwell Colorado 8 by
BrawScotsLass
Advantages: Durable. Spacious. Easy to erect. Bright & airy.
Disadvantages: None apart from being heavy (but it is a large tent!)
...our holiday home - the Outwell Colorado 8 tent. (Don't confuse it with the Vango Colorado 8 which is a different tent) STYLE
The Colorado is what is known as a tunnel tent - because it is tunnel shaped. Tunnel tents come in a variety of designs, usually with an entrance at one end, or on either side. Sometimes they even have all 3 options! The bedrooms are made up of an inner section with built in ground sheets and insect netting (a big plus point ... ...considering. I believe this year Outwell has produced Colorado equivalent range "Indiana". It is a tough, reliable, easy to use, spacious and comfortable tent. It is well made, not draughty and doesn't have a serious condensation problem. I would recommend this tent to a larger than average family, and it would even be a luxuriously spacious tent for a family of four. Specifications:
8 berth tent Flysheet: Outtex 3000 with taped seams ...

An Excellant Weeks Outdoor Experiance
Review of Outwell Nevada XL Tunnel Tent by
dreamscancometrue
Advantages: Spacious and strong Family sized Tent
Disadvantages: Its not an Hotel
Outwell Nevada XL Tent.
A new range for 2007 but we were very lucky to pick one up at knock down bargain price, Three times year our local camping stockists, put a show on, of there goods at our local Forest Park, and the tents that are on display, are available at the end, at a vastly reduced rate.
And we picked it up for £147.00. Including a few extra's.
It was nearing the end of the season for camping, as the weather was getting cooler etc, ... ...bargain at the same time, we decided to shoot of the following weekend, for a week in Aberystwyth's Cerdigan Bay, or as we now fondly now it as Tornado Alley.
Considering we had never pitched this tent before, we found it quite easy to put up, Three equal length durable poles provide the frame of the main body, with another pole at either end to support the bedroom areas, Simple to follow instructions, lay the main tent out, thread the click together ...

Good Living Area
Review of Outwell Hartford L Dome Tent by
stonetyke
Advantages: Large living area
Disadvantages: Vents do not have no see um mesh
We have used this tent about 3 times now and have been very impressed with it, both in pitching and it's size.
Pitching
It's pitched inner first and this has been very easy to do, it has colour coded poles so you cannot get them wrong, the only thing I don't like about this is if you had to do it whilst raining.
The flysheet is a bit more of a handful and at first it seems daunting, but after a coule of times, you get to know where it should lie ... ...lines and it is very stable once pitched, the first time we used it, there were very strong winds but it had no problems coping.
Living in it.
The living space is very good, a high roof and plenty of room, the bedrooms are fine, enough space for a double air bed and clothes bags at the end of the airbed.
The only gripe about the living area is the windows and doors, the no see um mesh is only at the top of the doors and the windows of the inner ...

Khyam Colorado Tunnel tent.
Review of Khyam Colorado Family Tunnel Tent by
johnmhill
Advantages: Size, waterproof - quick to erect for size - smaller to carry/load compaired to others.
Disadvantages: Pole ropes dodgy(?), tricky to shut zip without adjusting pegs, need to tether v. well.
This is our second Khyam tent as we loved the quick-erect system.
Generally we are pleased with it due to its size (family of four) - if the weather is rainy there is plenty of room. We used it last summer when the floods happened and it was also quite windy. It witheld the rain excellently - it is highly rainproof - another reason why we bought it.
On the negative side we have had the inner cables (ropes) go twice on the main poles. You can fix ... ...hassle and no expense but I query if there is a weakness here. It can also be quite tricky to set up perfectly to ensure the zip closes on the front door again due to its size - this gets easier with practise.
The only other comment is that when we used it in some quite high winds (floods again!) you need to tether it very well - it held well but due to its size (and the strength of the winds) it bends a lot in strong winds. It is advisable to get ...
