Very Affordable Holiday Home!!
Review of Vango Venture 500 by johnny040676

Advantages: Good size, quite high, sturdy, easy to put up
Disadvantages: Large and quite heavy when packed

...to stand up it. The Vango Venture 500 was set up and was a winner as soon as we looked at it. Dimensions and Layout The tent measures approximately 12' X 8' and is about 5'10" high at the highest point. There is a large porch at the front which takes up about a third of the length of the tent, and the rest is taken up by the bedroom. The Porch The porch is a good enough size to set up a table and two chairs to eat if required, as ...
...wind and some rain. The Vango Venture 500 stood up to the wind brilliantly considering its size and height and as long as it is well pegged down it can withstand quite strong winds with very little problems. We had a little rain this weekend and had no problems with leaks however we have been out in fairly heavy rain before and this manages to find its way through the material so I would not recomend it in the rain, however it is only advertised ... Vango Diablo 600 family dome tent
Review of Vango Diablo 600 Family Dome Tent by barberanna72

Advantages: Good quality, great value, spacious and easy to assemble. Looks great too
Disadvantages: We haven't found any yet

We own an slightly older Vango Diablo 600 family dome tent and its probably the best investment we ever made. Recently we looked around this new model as we are looking to upgrade and the design changes they have made are excellent. For example, the addition of the side door and the extra height in the bedrooms. Our current tent had served us very well and has accommodated our family of four through all weathers during week-end breaks and two week ...
...erect (2 people ideally required). The sewn in groundsheet is great for two reasons. The first being that it helps keep heat in and cold out and the second being it stops creepy crawlies joining you for company. We have used our existing tent in October in England and have not been cold ( with the help of a small heater). The outer flysheet dries very quickly if got wet and the whole thing packs into a smart carry bag which easily fits into the boot ... Read review

Robust, spacious 6 berth tent
Review of Vango Breckenridge 600 Family Frame Tent by catherine2001

Advantages: very spacious, steel frame
Disadvantages: large pack, heavy

Nice, robust, tent. Apparently some sellers discontinued it as there were concerns over it leaking, but we've had a couple of very rainy nights in ours and no problems. Durability - some of the hooks/clips that attach the bedroom pods to the tent have come off (due to children jumping around) but can be sewn back on. It comes with a DVD showing you how to put it up - you can do it without watching it but there are some handy tips so it's worth a ...
...camping trips, but found it cut pitching time by 10 mins or so - it now takes us around 45 mins to pitch. Loads of room - spacious bedrooms (easily sleeps 6), large living area. Great for families as there's space for cooking, playing, etc. Good layout, with the bedroom/living room dividing line going along the lenght of the tent rather than the width (so the tunnel arc is from front to back rather than side to side if that make sense). This means ... Read review

Vango's Erections
Review of Vango TBS Equinox 600 Tunnel Tent by sdwill

Advantages: Lightweight, spacious, well made
Disadvantages: fiddly to put up

...Who’s that fella Vango anyway………….?! I consider myself a hardened camper. My experiences range from a bivvy bag above the Boulder Ruckle in Swanage, to a budget Millets 2-pole tent on the Orkneys, from family holidays in Harlech under a vast canvas and steel construction to New Years Eve in a Vango Force Ten Mk5 in Langdale, as well as several seasons in the Swiss Alps, plus many, many other trips. I have camped in rain, wind, sleet, snow, sun and ...
...But the good old Vango Force Ten was looking a bit the worse for wear so we decided to invest in a new luxurious but compact model large enough to accommodate 3 young children and 2 middle aged adults. Tent design changed a great deal about 10 years ago with the advent of dome tents and tunnel tents. These incorporate flexible jointed poles, made either of metal or glass fibre. They increase the usable space inside the tent, having a curved ceiling, ... Read review

Wicked campers!
Review of Vango Sigma 400+ Dome Tent by Imperial-Scorpion

Advantages: Quick, Simple
Disadvantages: Pegs got bent on first use, no fitted groundsheets in porch areas!

Vango Sigma Mallard & Mercury dome tent, ideal tent for a family it has two entrances which made siting easier and gave some privacy for the kids when they were desperate in the night. It takes around ten minutes to erect and probably twenty to get back down, folding into such a small bag seems to take forever. It is colour coded and double seamed and looks very smart when erected. The only downfall was the porch linings are separate and when it ... Read review
