Advantages: Breathtaking cinematics, superb gameplay, Kojima at his best.
Disadvantages: Game can be completed in under 10 hours, Metal Gear Online is a disappointment.

Firstly, im going to make clear to those of you who dont know - 'Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots' (MGS4) actually comes with an additional game 'Metal Gear Online' (MGO) included. There are so many reviews of the main MGS4 game here already that im going to talk more about the lesser emphasised MGO. Not many reviews point out this aspect of the game so im going to give you a little insight into it. Do not make the mistake of believing that MGO is anything along the lines of you controlling Solid Snake battling with MGS4 allies against familiar MGS4 enemies through MGS4 environments. Im going to make it clear - its not. Metal Gear Online is, put simply, a letdown. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Advantages: storyline, graphics, online, solid snake
Disadvantages: hours and hours of cutscenes, to complex for newbies, end of an era

(No spoilers) Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the long awaited sequal to the Metal Gear Solid franchise. It wraps up the story of who the patriots are and how Solid Snake will live his life. Ive been a fan of the MGS franchise since MGS1 for the PS1 and I believe that this sequal is a pleasing and fullfilling end to what has been a great 10 years of gaming. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Advantages: +Amazing Gameplay +Brilliant Graphics +Cinematic +Immersive Storyline
Disadvantages: -Install (only a very slight negative)

Story The storyline to this game is extremely complex; it follows on from the previous metal gear solid games and is a direct sequel to MGS2. I'll state now, you don't need to have played the previous games to be able to play and understand this one, I'd only ever played MGS2 before this and that was years ago. However, I recommend that you read up on the internet on the storyline, even if you just use Wikipedia, as it is complex and might confuse you. Also the story is very important to the game as the game is very storyline-based. Basically "Old Snake" (Previously Solid Snake) is fighting to stop his clone brother take over the world and the Private Military Company(s) (PMCs). Otacon helps snake with this.
