Having been a member of gyms for many years the time came for me to go to university which meant that I couldn't afford a gym membership, so I started to look for a machine that I could buy to use in my own home.
As anyone else does I looked at treadmills, bikes and rowers but the quality of them for the money I was looking to spend (£100) was not good enough for my liking. In the past I had seen these funny machines in the gym that ... ...go back and forth. To me they looked silly and I didn't think I'd ever even get on one, let alone buy one!
A friend of mines mum had one of these machines and just out of curiosity I had a go on it......it was like a workout that I had never experienced. It truely was a total body work out, I had to have one of these machines.

As anyone else does I looked at treadmills, bikes and rowers but the quality of them for the money I was looking to spend (£100) was not good enough for my liking. In the past I had seen these funny machines in the gym that you stand up on, but pedal and make your arms go back and forth. To me they looked silly and I didn't think I'd ever even get on one, let alone buy one!

I purchased my Orbitrek from a shopping channel for £115 and 3 days later there it was in my front room, I'd heard all the hype about it and now it was my turn to experience it properly. I have an ankle injury from when I was a child but the machine didnt aggrevate it as the workout is ZERO impact, which means that it wont injure your knees, ankles or hips and the workout is second to none that I have ever tried.
After a 20 minute work out my arms, legs, bum and especially my heart know that what I have just done is a quality workout. The machine has variably tension control which means you can have a muscle builing/cardiovasular workout as well as just a normal cardio workout. I truely love this machine.
I really think that anyone looking for a home fitness machine, of any age, any fitness level even on the tightest of budgets should get one of these machines, it out performs bikes, treadmills and rowers beacause it incorporate all those machines in 1 workout!
From the beginning I though that the machine looked a bit sissy but it is the best thing I have EVER worked out on. If your looking for a total body workout, this is THE machine.
Advantages: No impact ; good for aerobic work ; no spinal aggravation caused by sitting ; Disadvantages: Heavy & large ; not silent ; fan doesn't keep you cool ; harsh on sore knees
Have you seen the TV ads for the wonder-machine called the Orbitrek? I had, and wondered if it was worth the money. I did an Internet search but could only find people selling the thing - hardly the best ones to give an honest opinion. We eventually got one a couple of months ago. I saw an ad for it recently and remembered my efforts in trying to find out more about it. So I decided to take a new look at it and write a critique about it. Hope this ... ...His knees and elbows are painful, too. He had to get rid of his mini-gym/weights machine that we used to keep in the garage, because it was making his pain worse. We looked round for an all-in-one piece of exercise equipment that we could keep in our bedroom (so we would use it every day). We wanted something that would help us keep our weight down, so it had to be good for aerobic workouts. We also wanted something to keep our muscles good. The ...
