This is a local authority leisure centre, which I have used a great deal, managed by Parkwood Leisure. According to their website*, Parkwood Leisure are the third largest leisure management company working in the public sector and in 2005 delivered £30.9 Million of turnover.

Advantages: Beautiful clean pool Disadvantages: Awful changing facilities
...which is great but in the borough of Lewisham can be difficult. The pools seem to over timetable themselves during the week so that obscure times are left for family or individual swimming, other times are filled with schools, lessons, ladies only, swimming clubs etc. The Bridge Leisure Centre is no exception to this and taking my two children swimming is a matter of checking the timetable daily and squeezing in an hour when the learner pool is free. ... ...standard. One length of the pool is completely steps, which allow timid children to enter the pool with confidence and the water doesn't reach any more than 0.9m in depth. The pool is clean and seems to have a good range of swimming aids such as noodles and floats available to the general public.
