Grobag baby sleeping bags are fantastic!

Advantages: easy to use, helpful, fantastic ranges
Disadvantages: may look a little like a dress on boys!

The grobag is a fantastic invention which stops the constant getting up and down in the night to put the blankets back over your baby when they manage to kick them off in the night. Grobags are baby sleeping bags which fasten at the shoulders and are worn almost like a dress/dungarees. They come in different thickness- Tog rating- like a quilt. So you are able to decide which tog rating is needed, for example, in the summer when it's warm you will only need a 1tog or if it's colder you may need a 3tog. They come in different patterns and designs so you may chose whether you want a girlie pink one or a boy blue one etc. The main purpose of these grobags is to stop the baby from getting cold during the night as they may do with a blanket. Babies do not sleep soundly constantly, they do toss and turn and are able to shift themselves ...

Slumber Warmly on Your Next Camping or Backpacking Trip

Advantages: Great for "cold" camping, Very silky soft interior/exterior & waterproof, Relatively Lightweight
Disadvantages: Somewhat bulky for a backpacking sleeping bag

....and no I didn't see the Monster). At the time, I had a +20 degree sleeping bag. Which, I thought was completely sustainable for me. It was April for crying out softly! Scotland gets chilly, but not below 20 in APRIL, does it?? Boy was I wrong. I woke up in my backpacking tent with my toes, face, and fingers feeling like someone had soaked them in ice. I keep putting on more clothing, socks, gloves, but it didn't seem to help all that much. Plus the coolness of the ground still seeped into my back as well. It was a miserable night, and I had to walk 20 miles the next day! Suffice to say, it wasn't my favourite backpacking trip because I was so exhusted from lack of proper sleep. Fast forward to the Fall of 2008 when I purchased this Slumberjack +10 Degree Sleeping Bag. I was in the U.P of Michigan in late October. I thought to myself ...

A snuggly sleeping bag

Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review

the sleeping bag stays in place. You zip them up around your baby and the shoulders have little poppers like dungarees so that they stay in place and the baby can't wiggle down underneath them. This makes them flexible as they're baggy so as baby moves the bag moves with them instead of the blankets being thrown off. This bag is huge! Baby Hope is 8 months old and only just in 3-6 months clothes but her 6 month sleeping bag was getting a bit small so we bought this one knowing that it would fit her for a long time! There is plenty of space but that doesn't matter. The fact that it's double her length isn't a problem as it just means that she will grow into it, it doesn't affect how warm it will keep her. Sleeping bags come with different tog ratings like quilts and duvets do. In the summer we use a 1tog and in the winter a 2.5tog. This ...
