Advantages: Good quality reasonably priced numnah and saddle cloth. Disadvantages: Not always good fit with straps.
...are the most difficult. There is something about horses and clean clothing (which includes saddle cloths), they just do not mix.
The comfort numnah and saddle cloth are both about £12.99 which is not bad. The polypads that I use more frequently are more expensive.
The features of the numnah and saddle cloth are that they both have twin quilting and padding. The lower part features high quality quilting and the upper part has heavy diamond cushion quilting. You can see this from the above picture and description. The bottom half is quilted but not very thick, the top part is thicker.
I have the saddlecloth because I fancied one and they look quite nice. All of my others are numnahs so therefore saddle shaped. It generally looks smarter at competitions to wear a numnah in a plain colour like black. You would not wear a colourful...

...After the success with the Helly Hansen undershorts I had to try out a base layer jersey.
I have tried dri-fit tops before, and whilst they have been good and locking away most of the moisture, I have never tried one which has kept my as dry as the Helly Hansen Lifa.
Like the Lifa shorts, the top is made out of 100% polypropylene. As with the shorts tha top is skin tight and seamless to ensure that moisture is kept away from the skin and to ensure that there is zero chaffing.
Just like the shorts - the lifa is designed to be a base layer and have another top or jersey put over the top. The advert states ideal for warm to cool days - I think that this top is for cool to cold days since it is very warm. The long sleeves ensure that the whole upper body is kept covered and benefits from the stay dry effect.
