would do if I were Billy and how I would react in the same situation and I found myself pondering the answers to questions Billy was asked by the killer as if I was being quizzed in the same way.
In fact, so involved did I become with Billy's story that at one point, as I turned the page and found out what he saw next, I physically jumped in my seat. I've been a fan of horror novels for a number of years, but no book has ever had that effect on me before. It wasn't scary so much as it was entirely unexpected, but it was still a first for me. Another sign of how involved I was with the novel was that it took me until 2 days after I had finished reading for it to occur to me that the hero's dog, a recurring character in Koontz's novels, was missing this time.
What you get with "Velocity" is a great story, let down ever so slightly by ...

Velocity sure lives up to its name, a high speed compelling book.
The main character Billy is given a set of choices by a madman, either he does what the madman says or people die, and they do die!! If Billy goes to the police then more people will die. At first Billy does not believe ....only to be proved wrong as people do die as a result of his actions. His partner in a coma in hospital is also at risk and as a reader i went through all his emotions too.... You will follow Billy on a journey as he suspects the people who are around him .... i think that i suspected nearly all the characters....... brilliant!
The characters are a likeable bunch and Dean Koontz helps to get the feel for them with his great ability to allow the reader inside the characters heads and feel what they are feeling.

Excellent speck for the price and a very strong bike. I'm 18st 10 (253 ibs) and in my opinion this bike can handle this weight easily.
Great colour Black with like a Pearlesent White, Very good speck components, Shimano Deore derauillers and Sram Truvatic Crank.
Hydrolic Brakes and Discs. These will stop you instantly and do tare a little time to get used to or a flight over the bars could come along. These sqeak when covered in Muck and Water for the first few occasions, but when used this disapates.
Wheels are Alex DP17 rims, Strong, Maxxis Ingnitor Tyres Grip like hell.
Suntour XCR forks are ok for Cross Country riding, Not a great Jump fork, but hey Im no Jumper! (I think that if yoiu are lighter than me you could have some safe landings with these ...
