This gun is good for newbies who want play occasionally at walkons (where you take your stuff to a site and meet other people to play a game) or scenarios (big games which have a story line). There is not much time involved in maintaining it, you could leave it for 6 months and it would shoot fine, there is oiling needed but i know someone who has not bothered for 4 months playing nearly every 2 weeks and its still fine however you should still keep the rear bolt which you pull lubricated since it is exsposed to the atmosphere.
This gun is uber durable i have never had any breakages on it. You could throw it against a tree and it wont break or run over it with a car and only get scratches (i wouldnt advise it though). The one thing i have loved about owning it (i used to have one but not anymore) was many have one so if you get a problem with it everyone can help you (thats like never though!!! i never had any problems). Another good advantage is having a feedneck which goes to the side allowing you to aim at your target with the sight. There are many upgrades such as body kits, shoulder stocks, barrels, triggers etc these can improve performance and some just for looks!
This guns has very minor cons which dont bother most people. It can be too loud for some peoples liking which is a disadvantage if you want to sneak and shoot like a sniper. It does not fire that fast. Also you wont get as many shots out of a c02 (carbon dioxide) or air (mostly made up of nitrogen) tank as a top of the range gun. I have not liked the trigger on this gun since it is too slow for a tournament player so i no longer have this gun, i have bought a mid range and a top end gun. But i can say this was the best gun i could have started off with!
This gun runs fine on both air and c02 but i recommend using air since it wont freeze up the interior (c02 is stored as a liquid in the tank so it is very very cold!!!).
The gun is well balanced and is a must for a begginer or a spare marker (paintball term for gun). This should meet your requirements and expectations unless you decide to start doing tournaments (speed ball fields which are open fields with blow up bunkers). This is a must!!!!!!! The prices range from £95 to £120 Tippman have made one fine marker! take a look at the next one up: tippman A5
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines

Well I like the idea of paintballing but never knew you could get different types of guns! Not something that I'd think about so thanks for the info. x
