Titleist DCI 962

Advantages: Great Value at under £500
Disadvantages: Not for high handicappers

I have been the proud owner of a set of Titleist DCI 962s for two years now. Having been advised by a friend that these were the best clubs on the market I now believe this to be true. The DCI 962 is a superb set of clubs designed for the mid to low handicapped golfer. The clubs are based on the bladed clubs of yesteryear accompanied by the modern perimeter weighted clubs of today. Each club, from the three iron to the sand wedge, is a wonderfully crafted club for the serious golfer. These clubs have helped me to reduce my handicap by a couple of strokes. I bought the clubs with a handicap of 11. Soon after using them to good effect I won two club competitions back to back and got my handicap down to single figures. This must be partially due to the wonderful set I use. The sweet spot is not as large as it’s ...

Titleist DCI 962's

Advantages: Nice feel, good ball flight
Disadvantages: not for the high handicapper

I have been the owner of a set of Titleist 962s for about a year and a half and have to say that I am nothing but impressed by them. Being a 9 handicapper at the time I was after a set of clubs that would allow me to hit a variety of shots but also was not keen on having to use blades to achieve this. The 962s are definately worth spending £500 on if you are serious about spending this sort of money. They have a very nice look and look good behind the ball - they are smaller in size than say a wilson iron but not as small as a blade so you do not worry about mishitting it! The produce a quite a low ball flight and are very easy to move both left to right and right to left. In conclusion I would say that these clubs are perfect for someone who is a low handicapper who is not looking for blades. Very highly recommended indeed. ...

Titleist NXT tour golf balls

Advantages: Soft, feel, distance
Disadvantages: A bit pricey

Having taken up golf in the last year i've lost (and found) alot of golf balls on the local fairways as you might expect, most of these balls are then hit and lost again for someone else to find and so the cycle continues. That was at least until i slowly showed signs of improvement and treated myself to a sleeve (pack of 3) of Titleist NXT tour golf balls from my local pro shop for £4.99, i must admit i wasnt keen to part with almost a fiver for 3 golf balls but you know the way it is... better equipment will make me a better player right? well funnily enough it may have helped a little. So what is so special about the NXT tour series of ball? Well, firstly its round (which helps) so nothing special there then, its when you first tee one up and hit it - that's when you know you've just hit a great ball, when you manage to tee ...
