Advantages: Nice feel, good ball flight Disadvantages: not for the high handicapper
...I have been the owner of a set of Titleist 962s for about a year and a half and have to say that I am nothing but impressed by them. Being a 9 handicapper at the time I was after a set of clubs that would allow me to hit a variety of shots but also was not keen on having to use blades to achieve this. The 962s are definately worth spending £500 on if you are serious about spending this sort of money. They have a very nice look and look good behind the ball - they are smaller in size than say a wilson iron but not as small as a blade so you do not worry about mishitting it! The produce a quite a low ball flight and are very easy to move both left to right and right to left. In conclusion I would say that these clubs are perfect for someone who is a low handicapper who is not looking for blades. Very highly recommended indeed....

Advantages: More ball for less Disadvantages: Durabillity
...Titleist makes the best golf balls, and has proven them selfs on the pro tour for many years.
This is a Titleist budget ball with almost the same performance and feel as the more expensive brother the Pro V1.
The Cheeter line is very helpfull, for somone that struggles to line up his putts and can even be used to line up the driver giving you better acurisy ultimitly saving you shots on a round.
Launches good from the club face and has good controll arrount the greens, nice soft feel on irons giving you the confidence of a tour player. I woeld recomend this ball for the mid handicapper looking for a better ball but does not whant to pay the full price for the Pro V1 range....

Advantages: Goes FAR further than the average golf ball Disadvantages: Can only be used successfully by the top players
...~ ~ It’s appropriate that I should be writing about the new golf ball from Titleist, the Pro V1x, as I sit watching the last nine holes of the 2003 U.S. Master’s Championship at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.
As I type, past Master’s champion Vijay Singh has just launched yet another absolutely enormous drive of well over 330 yards down the 10th fairway, leaving him a relatively simple pitch shot to a par 4 that measures all of 490 yards, and which ordinary mortals could only dream of reaching in two shots. (Singh has just birdied the 10th hole, by the way)
I mention Singh, as he is one of more than 50% of touring professionals who are now using the Pro V1x in preference to any other type of golf ball.
~ ~ The Titleist Pro V1x is the successor to the Titleist Pro V1, which Titleist launched back in 1996...
