...Having taken up golf in the last year i've lost (and found) alot of golfballs on the local fairways as you might expect, most of these balls are then hit and lost again for someone else to find and so the cycle continues.
That was at least until i slowly showed signs of improvement and treated myself to a sleeve (pack of 3) of TitleistNXT tour golfballs from my local pro shop for £4.99, i must admit i wasnt keen to part with almost a fiver for 3 golfballs but you know the way it is... better equipment will make me a better player right? well funnily enough it may have helped a little.
So what is so special about the NXT tour series of ball?
Well, firstly its round (which helps) so nothing special there then, its when you first tee one up and hit it - that's when you know you've just hit a great ball, when you manage to tee...

Advantages: Good feel, Shiny, bounces well, good value for money Disadvantages: Being a golf ball - none really...
...Golf, the sport traditionally favoured by Upper Class toffs, overweight American businessmen and any other Industrial Fat Cat who comes my way, is a strict pompous sport, with strict, pompous rules.

And it's not just the married or old ones either. Show ME a Junior Golfer, as they most likely call them, and I'll show you a pansy with neatly combed hair and a father with a new BMW 5-series.
I came across one just today ,in fact, pulled out a Golfball, and asked him, in my jovial "old wag" sort of tone: "Is this ball an expensive one?" He took a quick, dismissive sort of look and replied: "Oh no, that's a rubbish cheap one. The best golfball is a Maxfli M3Z4' (or something of that nature).
It's a sad, sad world when our golf...

Advantages: Very forgiving, keeps straight Disadvantages: none
...I started using Solo PTS during the winter last year, I found this a great ball to use, previously i was using another brand but wasn't getting the distance off the tee. A friend of mine down at my club suggested using PTS Solo. i found the ball soft and very durable. i tried a yellow during the winter, normally i do not use yellow golfballs, but this Titleist wasn't too dazzling like other brands. i found i was off the tee straighter and slightly longer too, i used the same golfball for 18 holes and the ball still had plent og life left. i would reccomend PTS to a higher handicapper like myself, you will find straighter drives and more distance from the tee....
