If you are a golfer like me, you will have watched in amazement when watching the pros around the greens, in what look likes thick rough, just flop the ball out and put it within a couple of feet of the flag. Well the trick to this shot is to use your most lofted club and literally let the loft of the club get the ball in the air and land it softly on the green with plenty of control. The Titleist Vokey 60 degree lob web is ideal for playing this kind of shot. I like to think my short has always been above average, however since buying the Vokey lob wedge it has improved to a very high level considering I play of an 11 handicap. I own the oil can finish with 4 degree angle of bounce. For information, the abgle of bounce is the angle formed by the leading edge of the clubhead and the ground. This angle reduces the club digging under the ball, which is not good for sand shots or shots of tight lies. The 4 degree bounce lob wedge that I own is ideal for shot out of the rough or fairway. There is also a 10 degree bounce lob wedge. This is better for sand shots, but is also very useful off the fairway and out of rough. The Vokey comes in a chrome finish or an oil can finish. The oil can finish is designed to "rust" up over time. I have owned mine for about a year now and is rusting up nicely. This increases the spin on the ball and allows the ball to stop even quicker on the green. For the types of flop shots you will be playing with this club, that is absolutely ideal. The club itself feels great. It has a lovely weighting to it and when hit properly the feel of the ball off the clubface is perfect. You can almost feel the ball sliding up the clubface and the spin being imparted. The face behind the ball has a perfect setup. The 60 degrees of loft gives you all the confidence in the world to just swing the club and let it do most of the work to get the ball on the green and more often than not, near the hole within one putt range. It is perfect to use from a tight fairway lie as it is perfect to use from a fluffy or even rough lie around the green. I bought my lob wedge from American Golf Discount for £79.99 The internet discount site, County Golf (county-golf.com) are selling them at the moment for £69.99 and I would say, except for maybe ebay, it would be hard to find it for cheaper than that price. As I said earlier, this is at the high end of lob wedge prices. However out of the tob brands for wedges, Taylor Made, Mizuno and Cleveland they are all basically the same price and this was by the far the best wedge I tried out. I only own the lob wedge, however Vokey do a range of wedges with 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58 degrees of lofts. This covers all your pitching, gap and sand wedges. I have not tried these out, but have heard they are all excellent wedges, however I am very happy with the pitching and sand wedges that came with my set of Sxrixon! I would definitely recommend this club to any golfer looking to improve around the greens and help knock a few shots of their round. If there is anymore information you would like I would be happy to help.
Advantages: Looks goos, Feels great and spins loads Disadvantages: None
Th Titleist Vokey Spin Milled is one of the best wedges on the market. The original design by Bob Vokey has not been changed much for years.
The wedge comes in a full range of lofts from 64" - 48" with all types of bounce on it. The wedge is cut using a CAD maching and has about 30% more groove area than conventional wedges so there is more space for the ball to deform in to. The edges of the grooves are more defined and 'sharper' so the friction ... ...I personally have a 58" and I love it. It is an oil can which i think looks better although it has been proven that rust has no noticable affect on the spin rate of the ball. With the oil can it must be cleaned well after use as the dirt and moitsure will make it rust loads. It spins so much as long as the grooves are clean and i use it for everything, pitching chipping from anywhere and bunker play. It has a reasonably heavy head which i think is ...

...Dependant on personal preferance, titleist have a range of loft and bounce options available for this range of wedges. They also have different styles of the vokeys available, they have oil can, raw and steel. The difference been, the steel is a standard club, the raw is designed to rust and the oil can is treated with oil to aid the performance, personally I recommend an investment of all three, just for the variety of the options, through pw, sw ... ...pay. Standard fit is the titleist cord grip, this obviously can be changed to any preferred. This club is a great investment, high and spin rates of especially the oil can and raw wedges tend to suit players that naturally lack them. The steel version is suited to better players that demand better control and feel, the clubs have a very nice feel and weight to them, they are perfect from rough fairway and especially from the bunkers. The head is ...

...Bob Volkey was asked by Titleist to create a new style of wedges Bob Volkey thought professional control for everyone. The heat-treated oxide treatment is a thin surface on the club, which enables spin for all golfers. Now I for one know that there is nothing better in golfer in hitting a high wedge an watching it draw back as if on a piece of string. And that is what this club provides.
All of his 200 series are steel shafted and that's the only ... ...club, its lie, the swing style, different course conditions, and your appearance preference. All of this of course is designed to meet PGA standards and that it does. And not only does it reach PGA standards but it reaches the PGA professional golfers standards as it is used by many tour pro's.
Volkey created the 200 series with the advice of what top golfers wanted. He listened carefully and definitely gave them what they wanted

The Titleist Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can wedge; with a special heated oxide treatment, the new Spin Milled Oil Can finish provides the same great soft feel as the Vokey Raw wedges. By working with Tour players to create wedges that performed under the most challenging major championship conditions, Bob Vokey has developed a precisely machined, tight tolerance groove that provides the player with increased spin on both full and partial wedge shots. The Titleist Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can wedges feature a CNC machined cut face and grooves. A special circular saw style cutting tool is used to create precise grooves with a steeper draft angle and a tighter edge radius for increased friction. The Vokey Spin Milled wedges have 30% more groove volume than a conventional wedge, which provides more consistent and higher spin, particularly from grassy lies and in wet conditions.Design: Classic teardrop shaped wedge with a CNC machined face creates a rougher surface for better
