Advantages: A good strong beam.

...have recently bought a Mini Maglite and I am not too sure that we have made the right move, only time will tell. Don't get me wrong the Mini Maglite is a neat little torch that has a high powered beam but it does seem very lightweight so we will have to be extra careful not to lose it en route. ( the spare bulb is stored away in the base of the torch) The torch takes just two AA batteries and I always buy good quality batteries, in the long term it pays dividends. An essential item for taking to the Dark Side of the Loft !!!

Advantages: Functional and fun ... a cleverly designed and well made gadget !!!
Disadvantages: Despite being a torch it will probably be used as a toy (by adults) !!!

Let there be light!

Advantages: small, durable, rechargable batteries
Disadvantages: none

Disadvantages: comparatively heavy

Review of Maglite 3D flashlight

Is this some kind of wind up?

Advantages: No batteries needed, useful hook to hang in the tent, protective cage surrounds the LEDs
Disadvantages: Looks cheap and nasty, quite expensive outlay but will save you in the long run
